We loved our stay! We will be coming back again. The room was extremely clean. The view of the lake was absolutely gorgeous! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here if you are in the area!

Check-in was a breeze and the receptionist was very accommodating. I will say that I really overpaid for the room through Expedia. From the description I was expecting something higher end. The rooms are clean and modern but higher-end details are missing. Furniture is cheap and uncomfortable and the bed sheets are too small for the mattress. Paint job is amateur and the two sinks makes no sense especially because one doesn’t have a soap dispenser. The restaurant, Freshwater Tavern, serves excellent food. We had a Bibb lettuce salad which was the best I’ve ever tasted and some cheese curds that were cubed and so delicious. The ribs were incredible and we split them and for $8 more we were able to get an extra set of sides. Our waitress was efficient and just attentive enough. Overall, I give the place 3 stars for accommodations and 5 stars for the restaurant.

For a UP property very nice. It’s in the process of being updated and pool area and outdoor areas still haven’t been done. That said when we asked for the porch facing the lake to be cleaned of bugs it was done promptly. Only other negative was water pressure and I didn’t like the ultra fragrant liquid soaps. But I asked in lobby for a bar and was given my choice of normal soaps. Super nice staff and Bigby coffee in lobby was a plus And onsite restaurant was very good.

Nice hotel, we stayed on the street side of the “tower” it can be a little noisy during the early morning hours so I would recommend the lake side for a more peaceful sleep. The rooms in the tower are quite spacious. All in all a good experience. I would happily return.

We were in the newest section of this hotel. The room was beautiful and the views were spectacular of the Little Bay de Noc. The staff are fantastic! Regular texts sent to check to see if you need anything and how your room is, room cleaned EVERY day unlike most hotels now days. We dined in the restaurant and the food was outstanding with awesome service.

The air conditioner from hell

Room appeared very new and quite nice. BUT why would anyone put the bed 3 feet from the air conditioner??? Drafty, noisy and kept us awake all night. Someone is not thinking here. Not sure we want return despite a great location and decent restaurant. Frustrating! On-site coffee shop was overcrowded and offered little for breakfast. Also frustrating.

Great place to stay. Weird coffee shop set-up, so we skipped that. Bring a flashlight for the parking lot, as it's dangerously dark & the lights on the pole were not working.
