The Inn has an interesting historical past. The owners are very welcoming. The place has loads of character and is a nice change from the typical hotel experience. Definitely recommended.
What a great place. With a great staff and an owner Steve who was hands on and a great host. My wife and mother went to the spa and had an amazing experience. What an amazing bed and breakfast experience.

We were in town for a hockey tournament and were looking for a place to relax rather than the big hotels with lots of teams. We had the most amazing time at the inn, quiet, peaceful and it turned our busy weekend into a relaxing holiday. The room was great; cozy and we all slept great. It felt like we had our own private home from home. Breakfast was perfect to pick up and go when we had to be out early and the staff were warm and friendly, taking care of us so well. We'll be staying again, hockey or not!
Midweek romantic getaway at the Stevenson had a lot of great things going for it. The property is beautiful as is the bucolic setting but Allison is not far if you need anything.
A few downsides :
1) our room, the Elspeth en-suite was great but wallpaper was pealing and the room could do with a refresh. And daily mais service would have been a nice touch. However loved the tub and old furniture.
2) breakfast. The continental is underwhelming. Toast, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee/tea. Bare minimum. No cheese, cold cuts, homemade items. You could pay $25 for a hot breakfast supplement but that seemed steep. It wouldnât have taken much effort to have a far better breakfast.
We would definitely stay again because the old house is simply beautiful and filled with old furniture and accessories. Itâs just the basic hotel stuff that could be better.
