Great setting in a quiet neighborhood, and close to downtown Essex Junction with everything we needed, AND close to Burlington as well.We had problem with the car, and we found a garage at a walking distance. We met a lot of people at the dog park at Essex Junction. This verbo is spacious, very well designed, tall ceiling, and view on trees...... Really a very good stay.It was actually nice to relax and read inside while it was raining outside.
This place was a good location overall for our first time checking out Burlington. Good breakfast place within walking distance and 20-25 minutes from downtown and the waterfront.
Great place! Pictures look like a hunting camp but they donât do justice. It was bigger than I expected. Loft was not used bc very low ceiling. Everything like new condition. Wanted to be near UVM and this was great bc dog.
This place had everything we needed to unwind after a long day of skiing. Very easy to find, and the place was VERY clean and comfortable. Only downside is that VRBO lists that there is a hot tub. Owner confirmed it must be a mistake. No hot tub is on site, but the owner was very understanding of the confusion.Highly recommend staying here!
The cottage was clean and cozy and in a good location for us. Checkin was easy and host responsive. We came during a storm and our parking place hadnât been plowed yet but after we called the host, the plow came within the next few hours. The path to cottage from our car was not shoveled but there is a shovel available. The price was very reasonable and we had everything we needed I would stay here again. Neighborhood was nice and I liked the sound of train nearby. A couple good restaurants and variety store close by.
This property has everything you need. We traveled with 2 adults and 2 kids. The kids slept in the loft on the cots and loved it. We made some meals after a quick trip to the grocery store and had all the cookware and utensils we needed. There are some shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Burlington is a short drive (15 minutes) for easy excursions. Plenty of hiking trails within 20 minutes. Close proximity to Stowe made it easy for us to tour the town. If this listing shows up on your search for a place to stay do not hesitate to book it. The owner is very responsive and very friendly. Our stay was great.
I didn't realize we were staying behind a house. Then ad said there would be a string of lights around the door. The lights were there but unplugged so we had to cross the yard in the dark which was our biggest concern/complaint. The beds in the sleep loft turned out to be cots rather than beds. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. The place was cute and clean.
The cottage was very cosy.
The check in was a bit chaotic, since I didn't have the app open to find out about the address and the door code. I had to go at a Starbucks close by to use their Wifi, since I had no data plan in the US.
If I could suggest something to the owner. It would more reassuring if they was a railing for the second floor. Specifically since the beds on the second floor are intended for childrens.
Thanks for having us, everyone had a blast.
The house was reasonably clean. We could tell that the house had been cleaned but the sheets on the bed were still damp and needed to be run through rhe dryer before use. Definitely more appropriate for two staying rather than more. Loft and cots were ok for the teenagers for a couple of days, but not sure it would be ok for older guests. Kitchen had plenty of dishes and silverware. Be aware that the house is located in the backyard of the main property and parking is in front of the main house. Access to the rental is by walking down a driveway which had several parked cars during our stay.
We stayed here for a couple of nights during a long weekend off from work and school. Very convenient to Burlington and surrounding attractions. Cute little place, well maintained and comfy. Owner is easy to get in contact with. No issues, would recommend.
