Such a fun time for our family. Mini golf, pickleball, basketball, tennis, and so much more all included. Staff was so kind and helpful. So much beauty and fun to be had at this place. Rooms are basic but it beats camping for comfort! We will be back for sure.
I would not stay here. It should not be advertised as a hotel. It’s more of a group kid camp building. We should not have been charged $150 to stay somewhere where we had to make our own beds, the shower head was spraying on the walls, there was no shower shampoo or conditioner, and where the doors had no deadbolts. There were so many kids running around unsurprised in the building screaming and making noise past 10 pm. Kids were outside screaming before quiet hours. We got about four hours of sleep. It was a horrible experience.
Historic and scenic but my building and economy room was dated. Missing a shower curtain and coffee maker. Staff was wonderful and a great place for kids.
The YMCA is great for a rustic mountain stay with tons of included activities for the family and great loxation! We’ve stayed many many times over the years and always enjoy it!

Lack of parking is a problem; trash is overflowing at the property near the building which attracts bears. Room was dirty and walls are thin. Couple above our room was having sex the entire night and into the morning again when we woke up; explain those noises to a 9 year old who asks a lot of questions.... Property accommodations are terrible!
Check in was absolutely terrible. Staff would rather stare at you waiting to check in, ignore you while they catch up with co-workers for 20 minutes and then acknowledge you when its convenient for them to work.

This YMCA camping place was a surprise to me. We felt like in that Fred 3 movie 😃
Very great experience, for adults and kids/teenagers. Definitely recommend it.
Only thing what we didn’t like was the room, because it’s very outdated. We felt like we went back like 20-30 years. But I guess it’s just for spending the night there and that’s it.
There is a lot to do and go and everyone can have great time there. Amazing place. At first we were suprised that there was no TV in the room, but how I said we came here to have a lot of outdoo Things to do and not to watch tv or play video games. I loved that feature 👍❤️
Beautiful setting. Our building was very poorly maintained!! So dirty and gross. I don't think the hallways had been vacuumed in the last two weeks. We had to make our own beds (bedding was left on top). This resort is amazing, just needs some manpower and hundreds of hours of cleaning and maintaining.
I learned on the museum tour that this is the largest YMCA in the country with over 800 acres and capacity for 5000 people! It is in a stunningly beautiful setting surrounded by the Rockies and incredibly close to the Beaver Rocky Mtn Nat Park entrance. The activity list was truly jawdropping, with everything from a roller rink to horseback riding, and I would return with more time to enjoy those options as well as spending time in the park. The room was generously sized and functional but a bit dated and undermaintained. There was no AC, though a large plastic fan was provided. The hairdryer shorted out frequently on the higher heat setting. Bathroom fixtures were past their prime. There was no elevator and we were on the third floor. But the gorgeous views from our room, the large balcony, and the sense of peace and being apart from the truly manic feel of downtown Estes made up for these aspects. Beds were acceptable though could have been firmer.
