This is the most perfect modern style thatâs close to all the fun shops of eureka. Short driving distance from antique stores and everything. The host was great and super responsive always. The home was easy to find, very clean and so homely! 10/10 recommend to anyone! We will be staying again! We frequent eureka and have just found our new home away from home!
The location is great! Youâre within walking distance to downtown and right around the corner from a coffee shop. Matt is a great host and was always quick to communicate. The apartment is nice though the layout does require you to pass through the first bedroom to get to the second one. As a result, people in the farthest bedroom have to cut through the other bedroom to use the restroom or get to living room. As long as youâre comfortable with everyone youâre staying with, itâs not a big deal. Overall, this is a nice vacation rental in a great location!
We had a Great stay! The rental was excellent and exactly as expected. The owner was quick to answer any questions and extremely accommodating. The location is very convenient and walkable to shops, bars and restaurants. We would definitely stay again!
Great location! Absolutely best of both worlds being on the edge of town. Everything downtown very accessible by foot. Host was quick to respond with communication. And host was very kind on letting us know the property was available hours before check in time. Thank you! This would have been a 5 star rating if closer attention was paid to cleanliness of the apartment and the amount of linens on hand. Laundering towels and wash cloths isn't what one looks forward to doing while on vacation. All small issues really ..
Great place to stay, close to everything, beds very comfortable, eclectic style of place I loved. Only issue was you have to pass through a bedroom to get to bathroom and rest of house but if youâre with family or close friends it wasnât a big deal. Host was responsive
Up on main exceeded our expectations. 1st we were offered a early check in, which we took full advantage of and very much appreciated! Easy to find with the directions. parking is a little tight but still had room with a 3/4 ton full sized truck. House is much bigger than we expected by the pictures. Loved the old but fully functioning decor and rustic look. The balcony Overlooking main street we exactly what we wanted but yet still not very noisy at night. Plenty of books games and movies although we didn't use any of them. Could definitely use more lighting in the kitchen but small price to pay for such a wonderful place. Will definitely be booking again.
Great location for downtown access. Property is very old and only partially updated. Could use a good cleaning, and few more updates. Parking would be fine for a compact car, but not so much for 3 motorcycles.
This spot was great! The apartment itself was very cool, beds are comfortable and the host made sure we had everything we needed. The location is unbeatable.
Both porches were so dirty, ancient plastic flowers in pots. Really needs some improvement on these areas. Smelled like it had been closed up for weeks. Lots of hanging curtains windows doors that needed to be hung back properly. I would guess the owner lives out of town.
Charming Location, but Strong Odors and Loud HVAC Derailed the Stay
The apartment has a lot of charm and is in a great locationâright in the heart of Eureka Springs and close to everything we wanted to see. It was clean and clearly has received many positive reviews in the past.Unfortunately, our experience didnât live up to the expectations. When we walked in, we were overwhelmed by a strong Pine-Sol smell, which quickly gave way to a persistent musty/mildew odor that lingered throughout the apartment. It made the space feel damp and uncomfortable.Additionally, the HVAC unit was extremely loudâsounding like a freight train each time it kicked on. It was disruptive enough that it made it difficult to sleep or relax.Due to these issues, we actually ended up leaving a day early. With a few improvements to air quality and HVAC noise, this could be a great spot, but as it stands, it just didnât work for us.
Great location, spacious rooms, comfy beds. Host was very responsive whenever we had a question. When we first got there, there was a really bad musty smell and we noticed a small drip from the kitchen ceiling that we thought might be the cause. We notified the host, who tried to find someone to come look at it, but since it was the weekend, he wouldn't be able to get someone there while we were there. The smell continued throughout our weekend stay. I would stay at this place again because of all the positives. Since I hadn't seen any reviews that mentioned the smell, I assume it was a new problem and will be resolved, but I'd definitely ask about it before booking.
I was actually super impressed with my location. I donât think the pictures on the listing did any justice. Super cute. Great location. Great communication. I will probably be back again.
Stayed there for the Blues Festival. Location was great as it is a short walk to everything in town. Very comfortable apartment with lots of character. Very much enjoyed it and recommend this location. Only space for one vehicle to park.
Great place to stay. Very clean and scenic with one porch overlooking Main Street and the other looking down on a creek of sorts. The two bedrooms join in such a way that the people in the far room have to walk through the other BR to get to the bathroom and the front of the house. That might be awkward for some. Overall tho it was all five stars.
There are many good reviews about this place which is why we chose to stay here. For us, we didn't care for this place at all. My husband & I often stay at VRBOs. I understand that this property was 'old/historical', not a problem as we've enjoyed such properties. But just because something is old doesn't mean it has to be short on quality. I'll start with the positive. The host was very responsive and helpful in communication. The place does have character and the bathroom is huge and well lit (Bring your own hairdryer). A few things would make the experience of staying here vastly improved: A larger TV for the living room. You practically need a telescope to see it. The light bulb in the kitchen is at best a 40 watt. There is a little side light by the stove but that's it. (Under counter & over the sink and track lighting would help. We had to use our cellphone flashlights to see in the cupboards & to wash dishes. Dishes, cooking utensils, seasonings other than salt, dish sponges/rag to wash are needed-like a spatula to flip eggs. The place was very dusty. The main bedroom be made creaking noises w/ the sligtest move. The bedspread dirty/stained, smelled like an old spice armpit. The balcony door was almost impossible to open. The towels/washcloths were cheap/thin. Again to each his own, but for 275 a night, I expect more. We ate it & left a night early. A few improvements & this property would be nice. Hopefully, the owner will make some adjustments for future guests.
