Good hands free check in and out process. Some cleaning issues in room e.g. stained carpet. Room a bit to warm and constant humming noise from vent outside disdurbed sleep.

Couldn’t fault my recent stay at the Mercure Exeter Rougemont. Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel and room spotlessly clean. Room was a decent size, bed was comfy, and bathroom was great. Particularly liked the powerful shower. Didn't use the bar or breakfast so can't comment on those. Overall I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Just average, will not be returning!

We came for one night, while the food festival was on. So the location was ideal, but there was nothing else to impress us! It was just ok! I didn't sleep very well as there was a lot of noise from street and someone emptying the bottles into a recycling bin. Not the best hotel I've stayed in, so I wont be rushing back!

Excellent location but rooms vary a little in quality.

I've stayed in this hotel many times before however on this occasion the room was not as clean as normal. Carpet felt old and was not particularly level in places, bathroom towels were clean but needed replacing as they were thin and d little grey. Room smelt a little musty on entry .

Perfect location but old hotel

This hotel really only warrants 3 stars and if it wasn't for the special offer we took, it certainly would not be worth the standard room rate. I know we took a 'small double' but it certainly was that and very basic. The hotel was a bit creaky and in need of decoration in most parts. The best part was the vicinity in the middle of the centre and we were also lucky enough to get a car parking space in the hotel carpark which were limited.

poor quality room

Tired room. Bathroom very poor with no heating. I have never stayed in a hotel with no form of heating in the bathroom. Heating in the room was poor. Thete was a small fan heater in the wardrobe that we had to use but this was far from ideal. It was reported to reception who sent someone to the room to say the heating had just come on and it would get warmer. It didn't.
