Sweet little cottage in a friendly and pretty village. The lack of preparation for the upcoming season did let the place down though. The living area, comprising of one small open plan room, had a dirty carpet. The oven and some other kitchen equipment was not clean. Only one knife was available for food prep. As this is self catering accommodation and we chose to indeed cook at home, these things did disappoint us.However, with these things rectified, I would happily return.
We had a lovely week at Pepper pot Cottage. The location was perfect for visiting local towns and beaches, and the village itself was idyllic and picturesque. Good pub nearby, friendly atmosphere and food was superb. The cottage has everything we needed and was perfectly situated for us. Thank you.
We had no problems at all from start to finish with booking this property. Karen kept in touch constantly to check if we needed anything. Quaint cottage with lots of character in the middle of a beautiful village. 2 minutes from a sation and in the middle of some beautiful walks.
Highly recommend.
The host revised her listing and pre-warned us that it would be too small for 4 people and we accepted this. The cottage is indeed small but lovely. We were delighted with the village. The carpark is convenient, there is a good pub and the train station has a regular service and is ideal for exploring the region. We took bikes and cycled using the ferry service at Topsham (another lovely village) and then returned on the ferry to Exmouth. As the cycle path goes through Lympstone this was ideal.
