While the rooms were small. They were perfect for what we needed on a trip dealing with a family matter. Television was new and bathroom was just fine. Everything was just fine⊠Not luxurious but well priced.
They were overbooked and gave the key of our rooms to someone else. Imagine someone walking in to your room at 2am when you are in deep sleep and you have a confrontation because the hotel staff messed up and overbooked. On top of that the lady at the reception had the audacity to call us in the morning (7.30 am) and asked us why we were still in the room. The checkout time was stated as 11am but since they never registered us in the system she thought we shouldnât be there.
But they were happy to take our money. Out credit card was charged and no apology or refund was provided .
Hotel is relatively convenient to downtown Fairbanks. Our room was small, but adequate. Fairbanks was having a heat wave, so the small window AC unit struggled to cool the room down, but eventually it did. Room was clean, but shows some wear. Bed was comfortable. Desk staff was friendly and helpful
Older property. Clean room and common areas. Nice staff. Older town and the surrounding area was a bit run down. Comfy bed, clean room, on the smaller side. Worked out fine for our two night stay though.
Selected it because of convenience to downtown which is not as active as we thought, discovered they keep the front doors closed for guest safety which was concerning when they said there is not enough parking (estimated 20+ spaces for a 5 story building) and the overflow is a "fenced" lot one block back and two blocks over that you have to walk back from. The fence has signs, but the gates are never closed and the hotel van (wrecked) sits in the lot. It is an older building with small rooms that Wyndham has tried to refresh, but it needs additional work. Cracks in tile, carpet that is very worn/dirty in lobby and the room, and linens that were tired. Additionally we booked a king room and were given a "multi bed room" with a double and a twin. When we went back downstairs to change rooms they did not have any available. Check in staff was curt about the situation.
This was a very nice hotel. The rooms were nice, beds were comfy and it was quiet. It is within walking distance of numerous restaurants and some shopping as well. The river is across the street and is very scenic. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Very expensive for a very basic hotel. Room was far too hot, yet the AC was far too noisy to have on, and right next to one of the beds. At least they have a parking lot and free coffee.
