This is an old inn and the interior maintains much of its original architecture. There is a dining room and a bar which were quite convenient during our stay (not open for breakfast). There is a simple continental breakfast (not advertised). There is no scenic landscaping - the area arround the inn is a dusty parking lot.
The Braddock room was very noisy due to road noise (as an old inn it is right beside a fairly busy road). In addition, an outdoor road light was visible through the window all night and it seemed like we had a light on in the room. We were unable to sleep well.
We were scheduled for a two-night stay. We were able to move to a room away from the road for the second night. We appreciate the quick resolution to our issue. The second room (Harriett Tubman) was better.

Beautiful setting
We had a wonderful trip to the Ohiopyle region. Lovely historic building and spectacular food at the Stone House Inn! Our only minor complaint was the traffic noise from route 40.
Photos look great but are deceptive - it shows the beautiful Fallingwater house as the exterior which is incorrect. The room is cozy and clean but doesn't work well for sleeping - very loud road noise, shades don't go up or down, antique chairs are too fragile to sit in, no place to hang close (no closet and the antique armoire is beautiful, but doesn't open). Restaurant was nice. The hotel is close to Ohiopyle and our fun activities.
