Because Tenaya Lodge is a rural location guests should call the hotel if they need additional directions or information on how to get to the hotel. During winter months, chains may be necessary, even for four-wheel-drive vehicles.
Bears inhabit this area. Do not leave food or beverages (including water) in vehicles and heed all other warnings issued by the lodge.
Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

The water pressure in the shower is pretty low in my room. It's kinda strange since the water pressure of the sink is okay. I don't know about the other rooms, but it could just happen to be my room. The property needs some maintenance for sure, but everything costs a little extra due to the location I guess.

The property was nice, especially the cabins. We had an excellent dining experience with server Byron at Jackolope’s, he was extremely professional & attentive. Byron made our brunch dining extra special and memorable. Our only complaint was the front desk staff were not that accommodating with giving us an earlier check in, as most luxury hotels offer. We would only stay there again if front desk staff improves with offering early check in. Yosemite National Park is worth the visit. ✨✨✨
