Close to the Firenze sights!

I recently stayed at Hotel Galileo during my visit to Florence. While the hotel had its advantages, there were several issues that impacted my experience. On the positive side, the location is great. It’s conveniently situated near many of the historical sights, making it easy to explore the beautiful city on foot. This was definitely a highlight of my trip. However, there were several challenges during my stay. We experienced multiple power outages, which was quite disruptive and frustrating during the heatwave with 90 degree weather. Additionally, there was ongoing construction noise that made it difficult to relax in our room. Furthermore, upon arrival, I found that one of the rooms was not properly cleaned, which was disappointing. Overall, the hotel has a lot of potential due to its prime location, I hope they can address these issues for future guests.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. We could hear some construction noise at the reception desk, but once we got to our room, it was quiet and far from the remodeling. Our room was very comfortable, with cold A/C and a large bathroom. The hotel is in a great location just outside the city center and a very short walk to the Santa Maria Cathedral.

Lovely stay close to Santa Maria Novella train station, Duomo Cathedral, Gallery A academia w David, and Central Market. Clean, comfortable, nice breakfast, great housekeeping and a very much appreciated water cooler to refill your water bottles as you wish. Stayed 5 nights and would highly recommend.

Cute and small hotel about a 15 minute walk to town center. Breakfast was good. Currently under renovation and somewhat dusty from same. Renovation supplies in common areas. Completed renovation in poor quality as the shower doors came off the track and fell on me coming out of the shower. Electric outlet in bathroom not working. Refrigerator not cooling. I think we could have done better for the money. On the upside, the sale market was around the corner where we picked up some nice leather items

Area around here is pretty noisy but very central for walking. Hotel is old but clean, and staff are lovely and helpful. We would stay again. We didn’t opt for breakfast as there are lots of good inexpensive options nearby.
