Une expérience mémorable!

La vue de la terrasse magique sur l’Arno est saisissante de beautĂ© et de calme. L’emplacement est idĂ©al pour explorer Florence. Magical indeed! The terrace views of the Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio, and Duomo are breathtaking! The location is ideal for touring Florence or just relaxing. Minutes walking distance to most major sights and it is surrounded by many little shops, restaurants, bars, and gelaterias. Marusca provided many recommendations and checked in regularly to see if we needed any help. This trip included several other cities, but we would eventually like to return the to Florence for a few weeks to relax and enjoy a slower pace..and maybe a few more day trips around Tuscany.

Not Quite As Expected

My husband and I stayed for a week, there were good to very good parts about our stay at the apartment and a few not so good. For the most part the photos online are pretty accurate. It is an older building, so perhaps some updates are a bit more difficult. The main bedroom is smaller than what the photo appears online. We only used the second bedroom as a place to lay out, unpack our things. The apartment was airconditioned, and worked well, but in the second bedroom there was this constant intermittent low hum, we think coming from the AC? The kitchen, we thought, could use some newer cooking utensils. Although provided, things like flour, salt etc and their containers looked liked they had not be replaced in quite some time. The stove was definitely newer, which we only used for brewing espresso. The biggest issue we felt, was the floor of the shower, it was a raised, slatted (so the water could drain) wooden floor, which caused a musty smell. We were able to find flip flops at the supermarket to wear when we showered.We did love the location, perfect for walking anywhere. The supermarket was close by, Ponte Vecchio, shops, gelato, tourist attractions. We did love the balcony, which was our draw to this apartment, as well as the proximity to so much. We had breakfast on the balcony every morning, and sometimes, a lunch or a dinner. It overlooked the Arno, Ponte Vecchio, you could hear music coming from the area in the evening, but not disturbing.

Amazing location and views! Everything about the property was as advertised and the neighborhood on that side of the river was such a gem! Marisca was a pleasure to work with, I wish I hadn’t waited until my last day to read the book of tips that she put together for her guests.

Fantastic location and host

My husband and I loved staying at this property for its location in the Oltrarno neighborhood. There are a wide variety of amazing restaurants here and the popular attractions are within easy walking distance across the river. The apartment had everything we needed and the view is even better than the pictures! We communicated easily with our host and her recommendations in the area were very much appreciated. We even enjoyed walking up the beautiful stairs instead of using the elevator.

Perfect Location

The location was wonderful for everything we did in Florence. The apartment was spacious and the terrace view unbelievable. Many restaurants in this area. Our host , Marusca , was friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our 7th time in Florence.

What a view!

Check in was easy, host met us and gave us recommendations for food.. The place had an amazing view. Second only to our place in Santorini. Shopping and restaurants were extremely close. We found a wonderful place called Toto’s which was just over the bridge, and was a family owned place that hosted a lot of locals, so you know it’s good. And the prices were amazing. The water pressure in the shower was decent and it was nice having a kitchen and washer, although we didn’t end up using much other than the refrigerator, as why would you go to Italy just to cook your own food? Ha ha Again the view was absolutely amazing. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and I would recommend this listing to anyone looking for an amazing place in a beautiful city.

The deck is amazing! Best view we’ve ever had. Apartment is ideal, very comfortable, with everything you would need. Marusca, our host was terrific. Check in was a breeze and she gave us enough time and local insider info to make the whole visit fantastic. Highly recommended!

The great beauty

It's true. This is a magical terrace, where it is difficult to drag your self away from even though magical Florence awaits just downstairs. Fantastic from start to finish. Amazing stay!

Absolutely loved staying in this wonderful home. Communication was great, easy check in and check out. Bed and pillows super comfortable. Many thoughtful amenities. Having a washer was great for a week stay. Location couldn’t be better for all Florence has to offer. The balcony was the best place for morning tea and evening wine listening to the wonderful melodies coming from the musicians on the Ponte Vecchio. It was a quiet, cozy & relaxing place to return to after exploring Florence, highly recommend it and hope to return in the future!

Beautiful Stay

This was a perfect location for walking to restaurants, sites, and shopping. The beds were very comfortable and everything we needed was included. The only downfall was the street musicians played on the bridges until around 10:00pm and it was pretty loud. Otherwise it was perfect. We really loved the balcony! The river view was spectacular! Marusca was very welcoming and responsive.

Exquisite in Florence

Our stay in this lovely flat was fantastic. Our host was gracious, kind, and communicative, while the flat was clean and well appointed. Of cource, our favorite part was the beautiful terrace overlooking the River Arno and Ponte Vecchio. We enjoyed the beautiful landscape, watching the river from our glorious perch while listening to tlive music floating up from the bridges below. It was also nice to have accommodations in such a convenient location that allowed us to take a break after a morning of sightseeing before venturing out for further explorations in the afternoon. It was perfect!
