Great property in the centre of Florence. Right next to the central market and easy walking distance to all of the main attractions. Very quiet inside the apartment despite central location.
This place was wonderful. Large, clean, a/c, a washing machine, a nice kitchen, and quiet. We loved this place. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see, but enough removed to feel more in a lived in neighborhood. Host was easy to work with and check in/out was simple. We were really happy here.
Leo is a wonderful host of a nice roomy property. The apartment is centrally located.
Kitchen was a bit limited.
The washing machine was a very nice feature.
Great apartment! Plenty of room for our family of four. Good location, quiet and property owner (Leonardo) was very helpful with the check-in process. Itâs on the top floor with stairs but that did not bother us. Apartment had great A/C (it was very hot in Florence that week).
We had an enjoyable week long stay at this apartment. A nice place with all basic needs met. One regret is I didn't notice there really was no place for 4 people to relax/visit together besides the kitchen, and the chairs there are not for relaxing in.
The apartment is clean, has lots of room, and a nice balcony. It was very quiet and everything worked, including the AC and washing machine. The area is close to all the sights, but didnât feel the safest. However we didnât have any bad experiences at all, so it may just be our unfamiliarity with the city. We would stay here again.
We had a party of four and it was the perfect size for us. We enjoyed the quiet balcony where we had a view of a small neighborhood courtyard below and also a view of the Duomo dome in the distance. The check-in process was very straightforward and the communication from the property managers were. The large bedroom was beautiful with high ceilings. The area was a few blocks from any attractions, but a short walk to both the train amd taxi stations. This is located in an international area, so the closest Italian dining was a rew blocks away, but Florence is very walkable and nothing is every that far away (15-20min walk to the Ponte Vecchio for reference). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
We had a good stay at the apartment. It is clean and spacious and has a nice deck but it was too hot for us to enjoy. The apartment is a short walk from the basilica and other attractions and the neighborhood is well served with cafes and grocery stores. Lorenzo was great at communicating up to and including check in and responded very quickly to questions. The apartment could benefit from some easy updates like a Keurig machine as there was an old school coffee pot pot but we had a hard time finding a store that sold filters so we were unable to use. Also the Air conditioning is a bit quirky. If you want it on high power you need to turn it up every 30 mins or so as it automatically reverts to a low setting. It also appears the kitchen and back bedroom are on a separate breaker as both we nice and cool while the other rooms on the other breaker were not as cool. Overall we were happy with our stay here. Thank you.
We stayed 3 nights with our 4 young children who range in age from 9 to 1.
Pros:
-Location; The place was easy to find, was conveniently located near everything we wanted to see as well as several restaurants and the train station, and a small park around the corner. It was a few minutes walk to a nice grocery store. We walked everywhere, and most everything was within a 5-15 min walk.
-Having a washing machine and a place to dry clothes was a huge perk, allowing us to pack light with the kids.
-Plenty of space for our family, and a nice small patio.
-Host was easy to communicate with and provided a ton of helpful information.
-Everything was well stocked and comfortable.
Cons:
-hot water in the shower was a bit finicky, but once we figured it out it was no big deal.
-Not ground level, which means taking luggage up a couple flights of stairs. Again was not a big deal for us, but just something to be aware of.
-Not a con of the apartment itself, but we did get pick pocketed on our arrival, walking from the train station to the apartment the first day. We knew weâd be easy targets for this on any number of our vacation stops, so it was not a surprise and nothing of importance was lost as we planned accordingly. But as always something to be mindful of if walking with luggage from the train station. It was a bit congested the day we arrived and made it tougher to avoid on the narrow sidewalks with our luggage.
Would absolutely stay again!
It was alright. Smoke smell in one bedroom and mosquitos.
The positives. Place is quite large, and the location was amazing. It was far enough away from the busiest areas of Florence but only took a few minute walk to be in the main scene. There were great restaurants all around. We loved that the unit had a washer for our clothes. My colleague and I were in Italy for 2 weeks and this was so nice to have. Just keep in mind youâll have to hang dry your clothes (not an issue for us). The Internet was also very speedy once we were able to figure it out. There is a Wi-Fi button on the router that needs to be pushed. The host tried to help troubleshoot but I ultimately figured it out on my own.
The negatives. The larger bedroom had a terrible lingering cigarette smell. I tried to look past it and figured I might just have to get used to it, but it got the best of me. I also use a cpap machine and was worried the smoke odor would take permanent residence in the filters. There were no smoking signs around the unit, but it didn't stop the previous guest(s) from smoking. No fault of the host, however, it was still part of my experience. I ended up sleeping in the living room on the fold out futon. It was not comfortable and small. During our stay we noticed a lot of mosquitos and other bugs entering the place. This was probably the worst issue of them all. I ended up getting a ton of bites during my stay even though I took care of a lot of them (killed 12+). Honestly the place has so much potential. Maybe my experience was just an outlier.
It offers a great location, beautiful view from the balcony, spacious bedrooms, and well equipped kitchen. Our hosts were friendly and extremely helpful. We would return there in a heartbeat!
Perfect location, nice accommodations, great communication!
This flat was just what we needed for our three nights in Florence. The location is close to major attractions and easy access to everything. We were very pleased with the location. The flat is clean and just as shown in the photos and description. Donata was very responsive and kind. Thank you!
This is a very nice and clean apartment with good communication from Leonardo, regarding entry etc.
There were a few issues such as no TV ( we are not plebs but love to work out the answers on the quiz shows with our limited Italian).
The TV was delivered but had only a few channels and many had no sound so we gave up .
A few necessities were missing in the kitchen but they were quickly delivered.
The hot water quickly ran out and was sometimes dark brown .
Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
