It is in need of serious updating/cleaning. Bed was not comfortable as it felt like a weird air mattress hybrid. Area was somewhat convenient though sketchy. Felt like we should have been charged $50 not what we paid. If given the choice of this or camping out in the rental car at a campsite, we should have chosen the car. Staff at check-in was friendly. Weird rule on a printed card at the front desk stating full days charge even if you try to check out after 15 minutes. Staff claimed “hikers” were using the hotel for showers. Made me think of other things and we brought everything in from the car for safe keeping.

The room was clean. The bed comfortable. A convenient location but a very basic motel room. $85 per night the lowest by far in the area but I didn't need fancy this trip.

Needs attention

Very small. Bathroom not as clean as should be. Not all outlets worked. Pillows to hard. Bed to soft. Floor not not clean. It was just supposed to be a place to sleep, unfortunately it was not comfortable. Left before 8am.

Exceptional Value and Super Friendly Staff

Love the Silver Sands hotel. The price is great, the rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly. They even allowed me to park my 20-ft utility trailer and the gentleman that checked me in said he’d keep an eye on it personally and with the security cameras. I’ve stayed there twice this trip and both experiences were great.

The WiFi and cable tv didn’t work. The room I stayed in was partially cleaned when I went in. It looked as though there were people living look term in a number of the rooms Some of the rooms had smoking in them even though were no smoking signs on the doors.

Saved my room for me after I waited on a tow for 2 flat tires & broken rim 151 miles south. Tow Truck Dropped me off for a 2AM check-in and the gentleman opened the door and got me checked in quickly & efficiently, and extremely friendly.

The room type we reserved was not an option when we got there. The place is so rundown it should not be allowed to rent rooms until is brought up to an acceptable level. Bathtub slick as snot to where I wouldn't even try to use it after my husband told me how bad it was. The motel 6 in the next town we stayed at was like the Hilton after staying here. Never again. On a positive note, the staff working the front desk were very nice.

The room was absolutely filthy!!! There was a thick layer of dirt/ dust on everything...i had to take a bthrm hand towel and clean off counters! 2 towels were dirty befire usage! I threw them over the garbage can! We were afraid to take shoes off and walk on floor with bare feet! When patting the chairs it looked like a dust storm!!! We complained and they said we could take the room by ours. It was worse than ours! We stayed in ours! We were afraid toveven shower in our place! The bed was a bed from Hell! It screeched and squeaked loudly with every move and sunk! We rolled into the hole in the middle!😵‍💫😢😵‍💫

Front desk was the only good thing about this hotel. Dirty. Electrical issues and no heater except small oil filled radiator. very thin walls could hear the toilet flush next door.
