This is a fantastic hotel. The location is wonderful. It is a very short walk from the Duomo. You are close to it, but not right in the busy parts of the city. The room and amenities were amazing. Friendly, helpful staff. A wonderful experience.

Good location

We arrived from the train station right at 2pm. Our room was just barely ready. The woman at the front desk was very kind and hospitable. We went up to 3rd floor via the elevator which is very slow but functional. Be careful as you get in and out of elevator. There are odd steps up and down. There was a very strong sewer smell coming from the 3rd floor especially inside our room. 313. Stay away. Although they helped move us to another room on the 3rd floor, we found the sewer odor lingered for both days we stayed there. It was extremely off putting. Our 2nd room was clean and odor free inside. We just masked our faces in the exterior hallway. The shower was refreshing and the bed was comfortable. We were offered free drinks in the library bar which was a choice of red or white wine or prosecco. The hotel has a kitschy feel to it but is a bit tired. It could use an infusion of capital. For what it lacked in quality it made up for in proximity and convenience. We were in a great central location just 5-20 min walk from most places.

We had a great 3 night stay at the Artists' Palace in Florence. The hotel was very clean and is an easy 20 minute walk from the train station, and is super convenient to all other sites in Florence. The staff were great and were very eager to answer our questions, and offered up great local suggestions for us. Thank you for a great stay!

15mins walk from the central station to the hotel, tourist spots are all walkable in the city. It is more like a hostel than a hotel, a bit old and not much furnishing but generally is clean and cosy. We did not see the balcony view as the website shown and actually we did not have a view from the window as the building we facing is renovating. small lift can barely carry 2 people with 2 standard suitcases the max and it runs quite slow... nice to have welcome drinks in the library lab, a nice place to talk and drink.

It is an amazing location however if you are a light sleeper you should bring ear plugs. Please note our room was very close to the Piazza so that could have been a factor otherwise very spacious and helpful staff, small elevator but it was fine and functional.
