We have stayed at a ton of vacasa properties and this was a disappointment mainly because of the lack of communication. We arrived later in the evening and the code didn't work. I waited on hold for about 20 minutes standing outside the condo for them to reset the code as the incorrect one was listed. Parking passes were needed for this property and they were not left in the property. We had to go back by the local Vacasa office to get that. Which we needed to go anyway because the unit was not well stocked. One trash bag, one paper towel roll, missing hand soap in bathrooms, not enough toilet paper, no Kleenex, etc. I have stayed places where ahead of time I was notified that I was responsible for supplying these things - but this time I did not. There was also not good communication about beach gear that was/was not provided. I had messaged before we left to find out what I needed to bring - no response. So I brought a few things. 2 days after we arrived I received a message that there was an umbrella but nothing else available. I had to send another message to find out where the umbrella was located. 2 more days go by and I received a response that they have put in "a work order" to find the umbrella. All that aside - the property itself was pretty good. Lots of wear and tear that would be nice to be fixed/updated. Great location - walkable to all the shops and restaurants. Great beach access. There was an elevator which was nice to haul our gear
Great view, basic, spacious, clean, beachfront. Deferred maintenance but some noted improvements from the last time we stayed. Enjoyed our stay except for the pipes freezing and being without water for 2 days while it thawed. Exposed pipes need insulation.
This entire unit needs some TLC. The kitchen cabinets were not in good shape with a lot of peeling. It could use some new kitchen utensils. The dishes were completely basic. The amenities in the kitchen were extremely basic. One trash bag provided in the kitchen isnât nearly enough. The furniture in the home was not great. The dining room table and chairs were grimy and you could see the dirt, especially on the chairs. The couch was OK, but the cushions were unraveling and probably should just be tossed. The only comfortable mattress was in the master bedroom. The other beds are extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom, shower curtains should be changed because they are very dirty along the bottoms. The ceiling in the one bath looked like there had been a leak above and was never patched up afterwards. The outdoor deck furniture should be thrown out. It is falling apart. The best part of the unit is the deck with the view. Nice seating areas out there would add a lot of value to the rental. If I was rating this for the view, only it would be a 5, but without the view I would only rate it a 2.
The place was perfect. It looked just like the pictures and had an amazing view - one of the best on Folly Beach. The location was perfect, near the main strip of restaurants (and the market) without having any noise. I loved the place and would stay again!
It has been many years since we had a legit vacation and this trip to Folly was perfect. The condo was beautiful, spacious, clean, close to everything and all we wanted. The evenings on the balcony were priceless. This was our Grandbaby's first beach trip and He loved every minute! We were able to communicate with reps at any time and that was very comforting. And the food! Wow...Rita's, Chico Feo, Taco Boy, Lost Dog...YUM. We're in western North Carolina and were "escaping" the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Thank you for a great distraction.
All Beds were extremely hard and one squeaked soo much, the other person slept on the couch for the entire week so as to not wake up their partner. Master bedroom had big hole on the very old quilt on the bed, mattress also extremely hard to the point of our buying a mattress topper so we could sleep for the week. All furniture outdated and very used as well as patio furniture. Washer & dryer did not work properly. Dryer took HOURS to dry clothes. Coffee pot super tiny for the size of the condo. Location was wonderful but I would not stay at this condo again until some major changes have been made. condo.
The Elevator didnât work!! The Friend I was traveling with has a Heart condition so we called to ask about an elevator weeks ago and were told one was there. However, no one bothered to tell us it wasnât working. When we arrived we called the after hours number couldnât get any help whatsoever. I was speaking with a Vacasa rep that wasnât local and we couldnât get ahold of the local people to see if someone could help bring our luggage up. Weâre Seniors and neither should be carrying heavy luggage up 6 flights of stairs!!! We paid some young men walking by to take our luggage up. On Froday I spoke to a young lady and she was going to arrange for someone to come on Monday Morning and call me back and she never called to say someone would be there. So Monday I call again, different girl answers, and tells me someone is supposed to be coming and she was going to send her a reminder textThe location was Great. Queen bed broken in middle; no box spring, window treatment in living room missing; only fixtures remained, under-bed dust awful, no mattress pad on king bed, broken shelves in kitchen cabinet, skillets crusted with dried egg. False advertising. This place should never be rented.
We had a wonderful time, except the elevator was not working and we were up four flights of steps. The attendance at the rental office were very nice, but we still havenât heard from the property manager regarding the elevator.
The view from balcony was great. The twin beds and full size beds were not very comfortable. Had several maintenance issues that still need to be addressed. Had washer full of clothes that were put in drier but drier kept shutting off, that was brought to attention of Vacasa, which their staff was very pleasant over the phone, but issues were never addressed during my stay. Had called 5 times but no one EVER showed up to fix. TV in the bedroom did not have remote that worked and Roku cord was missing, so could never relax and watch TV in bed, this was never corrected. The shower in the small bathroom for the water, the knob would not stay on. The ONLY issue that was addressed was the pot was missing for the coffee maker, this was replaced but nothing else on my list. On the last day as i was checking out, put all the dirty dishes in dishwasher that as i was doing final walk through, saw dishwasher was leaking and so called again was told to shut off the dishwasher and to wash the dishes by hand...the dishes were clean enough so just left.
This condo was in a fabulous location and fit our needs. It wasnât as well stocked kitchen-wise compared to other places we have rented on Folly, but it was still adequate. We did see several roaches and it was evident this was pet friendly. However, for our family it was fine. We would book again.
Very dissappointed in the conditions of the condo.
As e pulled up to the property I thought we were at the wrong condominium. The garage was roped off with caution tape and wood supports were used to help support the floors. The unit had been used and abused. Mold, chipped paint, unsafe facet in the quest bathroom.
We enjoyed our stay so much. We were able to take our little Aussiedoddle. Sitting on the deck was so relaxing. The condo is very spacious. We will definitely be renting again .
This Location is Amazing and the 3rd floor has great views... It does need quite a bit of updating and a little better of a cleaning. But overall it's a good average property to stay at on Folly Beach!
