my husband and 2 kids and I got stuck in the elevator with an older couple and a hotel worker. The worker finally decided to pry the doors open and told us to climb out. No one came to check on us or apologize. As we were climbing the stairs up the power went out. My 7 and 8 year have been too scared to ride the elevator since. We have had to climb 11 flights up since. The stairs are being used as stored for tables and chairs (see attached pictures). It is a fire hazard. When I went to the front desk they said they are working on the elevators and the manager would be in tomorrow. I left my name, room number and phone number and never heard back. I went down 3 more times the following day and never heard from the manager. The front desk agent told me to call Expedia (who I booked through to ask for a night refund), I did and when they called the front desk to verify, it got denied. I went back down and finally demanded the managers phone number. William answered. He blamed the contractors, his very busy schedule and the front desk (when they have been nothing but helpful). I told William to take accountability for his lack of communication and terrible customer service. All he could say was I won’t deny the Expedia refund. Still waiting to see if I get refunded. Courtyard Marriott should be ashamed with how they are treating their customers.

Great beach. Elevators broke, no stairs available

Got there at 4:30pm to find the pool was closed for construction and beach chairs and towels only available till 5pm. Stairs were unaccessible and the elevators weren't working properly (sometimes not at all and people were getting stuck in the elevator but had no other access to their room). Parking was $55 a day but only starting at noon so had to sit in our car for 30 minutes to wait till noon to check it in so we didn't have to pay twice. Room was clean and comfy. View was nice. Overall very disappointed with limited access to chairs and towels, no access to pool, no stairs (very unsafe) and the extra expense and hassle of parking was very frustrating.

Amenities closed!

When we arrived we were told no pool access, no gym access. Looked for another hotel but nothing available. No where on web page when I booked did it say pool and gym were closed or I would not have stayed there. I want my money back.

It was not a pleasure stay here due to : no swimming pool on site no fitness center on site over price parking rate no direct access to beach no any complimentary water I will avoid to book such hotel since they are undergoing renovation currently. Everything was amazing. The staff was more than accommodating when our room A/C wasn’t working. There is major construction going on and the elevators were out on our last night. Lights flickered on and off for most of the day but they worked tirelessly to get them all working again as only one elevator was in service. The staff definitely made up for the minor setbacks though!

The waiting area here is like a bus stop. Reserved their corner suite room and I regret doing so. I do not understand how the Marriott Corp allows this hotel to use their name… And no the construction is not an excuse for how untidy, dingy, and dimly lit their waiting area was on the first floor. Checkout is at 11AM and the rooms aren’t available until 4pm. The staff was truly doing their best as they were being continuously berated by upset guests (over the construction mostly). I would highly recommend staying at the Hotel Maren right next door. Night and day difference!

Arrived 3/21/25 to the building under construction, no pool or outdoor tiki bar or restaurant as advertised. The lobby was not comfortable and noisy. None of these issues were disclosed when we booked. Extremely disappointed!
