This hotel is not ina great location, lobby was somewhat clean, but as we were checking in, the police were coming in for an issue with other guests, we started headign to the room but never made it, the first floor rooms looked very unkept the ac units were dirty and vents were missing with opening right into rooms...we never made it up the elevator! We just turned around and left after paying 45$ for early checkin!

The hotel is totally neglected, refrigerator door was on the floor. the staff member i dealt with wasn't nice and we had to leave the hotel after 5 min of checking in. everything in the room was dirty. we had to go head and ANOTHER HOTEL RIGHT AWAY

5th view of pine trees made it better. Racks for towels were rusty. Bed was good. Ice machine on my floor was not working; had to go 5 floors down to lobby to get ice. Inconvenient! Front desk staff was knowledgeable about the bus to the beach! Waffle House next door. Soso at best!

Upon arrival I was charged additional fees and for daily parking that had not been disclosed during booking. The lobby elevator broken and there was no signs advising guest that they would need to use the maintenance elevator behind the hotel. I was initially assigned a room that had a mirror that had fallen off the wall and displaced the baseboard. After recording and returning to the lobby pushing the loaded luggage cart, I was assigned a room that once may have been a suite. It had a small window air condition in front and in the bedroom. They were so noisy that it was very difficult to hear or sleep. The sign in the lobby stated no cooking and the fridge was unlevel and packed with ice. The door facing in the bathroom was rusty and the water pressure in the shower was a small stream. The ceiling over the shower was damaged and had visual displaced stucco that had fallen at some point. There were visible water damage on the the ceiling. The commode fillled to brim each when flushed suggesting in overflow. The room was had musty smell as well as the breeze ways. I asked if all faced the pool I was advised they didn't but was not offered a room away from the pool area. The check out desk refused to give me any documentation when I checked out earlier than anticipated and advised me that I would be checked out on Monday as per my reservation. I was told it may take 10 days for the additional room deposit to be returned to my account if there was no damage to the room

I rarely write reviews, but after booking through Expedia, I must warn others: the Fort Lauderdale Grand Hotel is nothing like advertised. The “Grand” left long ago. The lobby may look decent at first, but that impression disappears immediately. The main elevator near the lobby is always out of order, forcing guests to use a dim, back elevator that feels unsafe. Floors are sticky, cracked, and stained, with a constant smell of damp and mold. The room was poorly maintained. Dust and dirt under the bed were visible, and the sheets and towels were gross, worn, and stained with dark spots. Housekeeping barely cleans and still charges $9 for “soiled” towels. Walking barefoot is unwise as floors are not properly cleaned. Outside, the environment is unsafe, with drug activity and visible prostitution. This is not suitable for families, pets, or decent-paying guests. Expedia should remove this listing until hygiene, safety, and management are properly addressed. 0 stars.

Nunca había estado en un hotel tan sucio, nada servía, sábanas sucias quemadas con cigarrillos, un ruido espantoso, aire no enfriaba bien, el personal super pésimo una mala atención al cliente, nunca nos resolvieron el problema y terminamos saliendo antes de tiempo nos fuimos un día antes a otro hotel por que era imposible dormir hay ya que la cama hacía mucho ruido y estaba rota , jamás lo recomendaría a nadie

This hotel is the worst out of all, they are lied to to you posted the nicest pictures online took the arts side and the pool to show you they are very nice all is a lied. Stay away from this place they have no fridge inside everything are so old almost broken, mold, stain, messy unclean unsafe. Just whrn you think you got a decent price online & hit you with a $26 daily fee for what?? No reason. Check out time 11am and late check out is 11:30am $25 extra charge if you pass that time. Will never even refer my worst enemy that hotel. This hotel should've shut down. And first of all this must be listed as a motel not a hotel.

This place is a nightmare. I’d rather stay in the woods than stay here again. Outlets are death trap-beware of electrocution. Bring pillows there are none. Unless prefer sleeping on a flat piece of cotton. Best part of our stay was the taco trunk at the gas station next door. And after this trash experience- THEY kept my security deposit because of “dirty” towels.
