The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The balcony was a great amenity. Unless you read the fine print about the room, you will be surprised to find that valet parking is $56 a night! A tequila sunrise at the pool bar was $26.25. At the pool, daily, every afternoon for 2 hours, on the other side of the hotel's property wall, the Ft Lauderdale Fire Department tests its sirens. Too many surprises to recommend this Doubletree despite its ideal location.

Issues with elevators three separate times, shower has pencil numbers (i assume contractors measurements all over) this made me wonder if the shower was cleaned, pillow cases had scribble pen marks Location is nice, although highly trafficked and you can hear the buzzer ringing for the drawbridge to raise/lower from your room, staff overall

Avoid this place if possible.

Our room was not ready for checkin until 7pm. Our sliding patio door fell off the hinges. All night long all we could hear was cars drag racing on the road outside our window. The front desk staff were friendly and understanding but the place is falling apart.
