I had to book a last-minute hotel for five people due to our flights being canceled. I found the North Beach Hotel because it said it had a room that could accommodate all five of us. We arrived around 10:30 a.m. and were unable to check into our room until 3:00 p.m., which was fine. The outdoor area was cute, so we spent most of the day hanging out there. When we finally went to our room, we immediately noticed that it looked nothing like the pictures online. The room was dirty — the walls, baseboards, and floors were not clean. There was a very strong chemical cleaning smell, which was strange because it looked like the room hadn’t been properly cleaned in months. The bathroom had strange knobs on the walls, and there were exposed wires hanging down from behind the TV. We only stayed for one night because we were exhausted from traveling and waiting around all day. We really wished the room would have worked out because the two-bedroom layout and kitchen were perfect, and the room itself had plenty of space for all five of us. Unfortunately, the condition of the room was very disappointing.

I had an amazing stay at North Beach Hotel in Fort Lauderdale! The location is perfect - just steps from the beach, with great restaurants and bars within walking distance, or a quick Uber ride away if you want a livelier scene. The hotel itself is adorable and boutique, with a cozy, welcoming vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the stay even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was quiet, peaceful, and inclusive. A special shoutout to The Village Cafe - the food and coffee were absolutely top-notch! I’ll be staying here every single time I visit Fort Lauderdale.

Our room had a strong chemical smell such as air freshener. There were no screens on any of the windows, so we could not air it out without letting creatures in. The smell made us ill the next day. The floor was not cleaned. The bottoms of our feet were black after walking around the room and we could feel the debris on the floor. It is very outdated, the walls are peeling and the baseboards are damaged and dirty. The positives are that the room was spacious and it is very close to the beach.

Online room pics are not indicative of actual rooms. Sofa had stains and single bathroom was tiny and grimy. Staff was kind and courteous. Great location! Didn’t take advantage of the jacuzzi nearby but others did!

I have no idea how this place is rated so high. Everything is rusty, falling apart, old. Nothing wrong with that if that's what I knew I signed up for. Mold in one corner of the room. Room was ready but they chose to not let us in until 3:00pm on the dot. Which hey, I get it. They're not wrong technically.

The room was clean but showed some wear and tear. Check-in process was a bit disorganized, but I felt the staff was trying hard to accomodate a lot of activity. The elevator was out of order so getting luggage up the stairs was a challenge. On our second night the handle broke off the door from the outside making it hard to get the door open. With a little manuevering, I was able to open the door and the staff moved us immediately to another room. They even helped get things moved downstairs.

The check in office was closed when I arrived around 6:00pm. Extremely frustrating trying to get a hold of someone. This is a budget hotel. Room was extremely stark and old. You get what you pay for.
