Very nice small hotel, great location for the reasonable price. Only issue was wrong advertising, they do NOT have sofa beds in the suites. I complained and the resolution was not sufficient (free parking), but otherwise the hotel was great for the price. They said they will correct the advertising, but make sure if you’re booking one of the suites you don’t need the sofa bed.

Parrot Hotel is a very cozy and comfortable place to stay. The beds are super comfortable, the room was spotless, and everything felt very clean and well maintained. The space is spacious and practical, which made the stay very relaxing. I really liked that the place is fully autonomous, making check-in and everything else very easy and convenient. The location is great — it’s close to a quiet, family-friendly beach that is beautiful and peaceful, and also near the boulevard where you can find very good fast food and dining options. Overall, a comfortable, clean, and well-located hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Check-in was cumbersome and confusing. Quite expensive to park on the street next to the hotel. This additional $32 plus was not expected. The hotel is undergoing remodeling and so you have to navigate around all the contractors and the materials that they were using. Also, the pool is closed. None of this was disclosed in advance. At one point, the construction workers were fighting and making such a noise. I came out of my room and yelled down at them to knock it off. I feel like we should’ve been compensated somehow for the hotel not living up to what we expected. The owner was very nice and accommodating. However, had we had no that there was remodeling going on, and the pool was closed, we probably would’ve picked another location.

It's obviously newly renovated, but not yet ready for prime time. The lobby, or rather check in cubby, is sketchy. Smell of paint is overwhelming, including in the room.

The Hotel name shows in the reservation as Sea Beach Plaza. It was very sketchy, under construction, and there were no clear signs in place on how to sign in. I didn't feel safe, and I just left the place. I never checked in. I don't recommend this hotel for women traveling alone or for families.

Unbelievably terrible experience with this hotel. They canceled our reservation with 5 hours notice. I was literally on the plane to fly there. Then they offered me a room with a king bed to meet the need of 3 people. When I declined they offered we a refund without a cancellation fee, like they were doing me a favor. The manager apologized but knew the renovation had been going on since mid-Nov. mind blowing lay horrible customer service.

The hotel is under construction. All the rooms on the first two floors were visibly under construction as was in check in counter. There was no person at the hotel. I arrived around 10pm and it was dark and very scary. I have pictures and videos. Can you imagine being a single woman and it being dark and having to check into a hotel like this? There was 1 car in the parking lot. I can’t believe this hotel would be represented by Hotels.com. I have lost faith in hotels.com after this horrific experience. In fact, I had to rent two additional rooms for several dates in January and I went direct to the hotel websites to book because I no longer trust hotels.com. Again, I have videos and photos of this as it was completely unacceptable. Construction workers started working at 7am outside my room on a Saturday morning as well. Unbelievable!

I am giving 4 stars only for some renovation inconveniences. Notably in our room there was no mirror in the bathroom. I am guessing it will be hung soon. The woman at the front desk was a real pleasure. She got us in quickly and was very friendly. The only little wrinkle was internet connectivity. We were in the furthest room away from the source so connection in the bedroom was non existent but we were able to connect by moving to the kitchenette area and sitting near the door with it open. If you need a good connection get a room as close to the office as possible. We previously stayed here and were directly over the office and had great internet connection. Overall a great little hotel and a two minute walk to the beach. It’s charming.
