The house was fine, aside from small beds and no hot water, and good for dogs but the neighborhood was run down. An abandoned house next door, a dilapidated house next door and another across the street with piles of junk in the yard. And an active construction site 100 yards away. Constant beeping and noise. Cars speeding by the front door, and not hot water. I moved out after two nights as my family were due to arrive and I rented another place that would not be so depressing. They simply would not have stayed. The host was not interested in any refunds and Moaz in your customer service department was supposedly working on my behalf after I sent him pictures but he has gone dark on me. No response to my emails. This is my first negative experience with VRBO.
Location of home good for walkng to Edison and Ford Museum and some restaurants. Driving to Downtown area and beach area was very easy. Home had plenty of room and rooms. Kitchen in good working order. Home clean.Somethingâs needed attention. AC filter needed changing. Grill needed attention and propane. Owner very responsive to emails.
Overall a pretty decent stay! Within walking distance to a Publix and CVS (for people whoâve never shopped at Publix, double your grocery budget when planning on coming to Florida goodness gracious). The downsides are as follows: at least 1 bedroom is so small, one canât even really open a suitcase on the ground. One bedroom had a tv and no outlet nearby to plug into. All the nonstick kitchen ware is no longer non stick. Donât use the steam setting on the iron as wet sand will get on your clothes and be difficult to get out. Favorite part was there was what looked like dog food on the floor in one of the bedrooms, so we had a midnight snack.
Aside from the fact that this is an old house located in an old neighborhood with quirky one-way streets having odd angles, we appreciated the charm, comfort, and cleanliness. There is a nearby Publix for stocking up on necessities. As a surprise bonus, the backyard is a beautiful little oasis! The listing pictures and descriptions were accurate, and Michael was very responsive to our messages. Overall, we were happy to stay here.
This house is very cute and a lot more spacious than we expected. The kitchen and living areas were perfect for our family to hang out without feeling crowded. The backyard is just the right size to enjoy some time outside in the evenings. We hit a few snags, but the host was extremely responsive and promptly resolved everything.
Stayed here with a friend while visiting some other friends in the area. Perfect for what we needed - a comfortable and clean place to sleep and kill time between activities. Bonus - the back yard is a great.
We had a great time using this home while in Ft Myers for a wedding. Everything was clean and ready for us and the host provided all of the information we needed during our stay.
Cheerfully decorated, clean, and perfectly located for our recent trip to catch some Red Sox games in spring training. And the backyard is perfect for relaxing after a day at the ballpark. Highly recommended for anyone planning a trip to the Fort Myers area!
My friends and I (six of us total) stayed at this home for a few nights while in town for a wedding. The house was accurately represented in the listing. Itâs a small, cozy place. The home is a bit older and lacks some amenities that more modern homes have (e.g., not a ton of free outlet space) but this was not a problem for us - we had all that we needed for the weekend and we were very comfortable. Taqueria Jalapenos was across the street, with good food and easy to walk to. We also walked to CVS to pick up a few things. Publix was a short drive away to grab groceries. Matthew quickly responded to all our questions and was a gracious host. For the price, I would definitely stay here again if I was in Fort Myers!
Overall the house was fine. There were a few cobwebs that the cleaners missed but that was my only complaint. I was visiting friends who live in the area, so was out quite a bit. As a result, I didnât get to use the kitchen or backyard but it seemed to be stocked with the necessities. I found the location convenient enough for everywhere I needed to go and the neighborhood was quiet.
House is located between a busy commercial area and high-end homes near Edison Estate within 1.5 miles of downtown Ft Myers which was our main reason for coming. Traveling with a dog, a fenced in yard was a necessity since i have mobility issues preventing me from walking. Unfortunately, the fenced in yard was all rock. Not a place for her to even lie down.. The house has 3 beds which were all comfortable but not a dresser in any of them for clothes or to my my glasses ir phone down. The kitchen was beautiful, but not set up to cook anything other than stove top. Not a microwave safe dish or a pan to cook in the oven. A single salt and pepper shaker was the only spice available. So all in all a decent house but having rented almost a dozen VRBOs in the past, this house really missed the mark for what was expected. Sorry, but i think baseballvteams ordering carryout pizza is the prime customer Als
I found my happy place in this beautiful oasis backyard!! The location was perfect! Within walking distance to downtown fort Myers. Felt extremely safe and slept great! Very clean and the hosts were amazing!!!!
The house was fine, except for a few small details. Things that we did not appreciate: the grill was very dirty; the frige water and ice dispenser were not working; the lighting in the patio could be improved; one ne of the beds
Convenient location. There was a minor problem with the hot water which was quickly resolved. Matthew was attentive and great. Iâd definitely recommend!
