My review

Some of my observations No grab bars in bathroom. Toilet unstable with poor lid. Microwave needs to be bigger and better quality. A/c could be better quality. Bed and covering great. Lighting good, front desk help very good. Breakfast good maybe add bananas and apples. Parking great. Fitness room would be nice. I enjoyed my stay very convenient. Put those Gideon Bibles in every room. I put one in 307 already.

First room we were given was filled with smoke and had a horrendous odor despite it being labeled as a “smoke free” room. Second room we were given the door didn’t close properly unless force was used, beds were dusty, towels were stained, toilet seat was broken and the tv was broken. Someone tried to come into our room in the middle of the night.

Nope.

The room smelled like mildew and the walls were paper thin. You could hear the people above us using the bathroom as if they were in our same room. You couldn’t reposition your sleeping position throughout the night because the bed was so squeaky it would wake up the other person. Our room was in building two which sounds simple enough to find but was actually difficult being you can only enter through one side of the structure.

The sink in my room had large cracks, repaired rather haphazardly. The sink faucet was loose, not bolted down. These issues were reported, but never resolved (but they didn’t effectively impact function). The bathroom fan developed an extremely loud screeching noise my last night. The bed was comfortable, the heater/AC did not engage with any setting changes, the room and facility was clean, with friendly staff.

Security deposit of $150.00 is ridiculous when paying by credit card. The security deposit should never have cleared and charged. Moldy smell when entering room. No mold to be seen anywhere. Waffles at breakfast was good. Room was large with plenty of room to walk around.

Upon our check in at night, we were not given directions to our room. We had to ask for the room location and the desk attendant pointed towards some lobby doors and said through the glass doors to the end and turn left. Turns out after carrying all of our luggage and belongings through the glass doors. It went all the way through the hotel building to the back out into another parking area and into a separate annex building with no other directions. I was not happy with him at all, considering we had to carry everything into another entire location when he should’ve explained to us to park in the other buildings parking lot, very shrewd and ignorance of him. He also failed to mention that there was a complementary breakfast served each morning. We only found that out upon our checking out. I do not recommend staying here just due to staff and unsafe surroundings at night. One star at best.

Hotels.com messed up and never sent our reservation to the hotel so when we arrived, they did not have the room I booked available. We ended up with a smaller room. You could tell that some renovations tot he hotel have been made but the room doors were clearly old, dented and didn’t seem very secure. The bathroom was minuscule, with the vanity out in the main room area. Breakfast was bare bones also; nothing to write home about but it was doable. The water pressure and temperature were horrible. We had a first floor room in the “3” wing. Also, woke up this morning to a roach. This place wasn’t the worst I’ve ever seen and it served its purpose as our plans were last minute. Definitely got what we paid for. I would avoid it if there is another option available.
