Apartment was nice!

Apartment was nice, in a quiet area. However, it was not very clean at all when we arrived. There were crumbs and black hair everywhere. The owner was initially helpful when the AC broke, but there was a major water leak in the apartment of the person above us, which caused major leaking and water damage in the house. The VRBO owner was not helpful, and essentially said “sorry but it’s not my fault”. We are totally aware it is not his fault, however he made us schedule appointments every day for a week with the water removal company, which we had to be home for (which made us miss scheduled plans on more than one occasion). The owner did not offer any compensation for this, and we texted our concerns about having to schedule all appointments for him and his home and he again basically stated that it wasn’t his fault. The apartment was nice but I wouldn’t stay in a rental with this owner again.

Very pet friendly

A wonderful location for someone with a dog. Lots of dogs around, plenty of room to walk them. Also very conveniently located for shops and restaurants. On the negative side, the condo could have been better equipped, and the property managers didn’t know I would be staying there. It took 2 weeks after I arrived to get approved by the condo board and get a parking pass. But not having a pass turned out not to be a problem. I really enjoyed my stay and would stay here again if I were visiting Ft. Myers

Nice Place

This property ended up being nicer than we had expected from the pictures. Vic was very easy to communicate with. The only issue we had was with the AC. We had people come to fix it about five times because it wasn’t working. Although this was an inconvenience to our schedules and led to some warm evenings, Vic was really good about getting them out quick to fix it and getting us window air conditioning units. It’s a really nice location with a lot to do nearby and lots of beaches close by.

Venetian Palms

My husband and I enjoyed our 2 month stay at Vic's 2 bedroom unit. The grounds are park like shaded and tropical all at the same time. Our unit was very clean and we had most items that are necessary when staying for an extended period of time. Vic was great and very responsive to any of our queries. The pool is an extra bonus which we enjoyed almost daily. I would highly recommend this property. Sue & Mike MA

Would Not Stay Again

During my stay at this property, there was a leak in the unit that caused mold in the ceiling and an overwhelming mildew smell throughout the unit. We left the unit for several days to give the property owner time to fix the property, however he opted to put a fan in the unit to air out the smell rather than properly fix the issue. The plumber stated multiple times that there is mold and it is unsafe to occupy the unit therefore we expected more interventions than fans which ultimately made the smell worse. The property owner suggested that I could stay in his other property that had not been cleaned after his last tenants. As we did not feel comfortable staying in a unit that had unclean sheets and trash still in the unit, I opted to find different housing accommodations. The owner refused a refund due his inability to find new tenants to occupy the mold/mildew unit on such short notice. He did not feel that the leak was his fault and claimed that we were being unreasonable and needed to give him more time to fix the situation despite leaving the unit for 5 days to give him time to fix the issues. BE AWARE! It seems that this owner is doing bandaid fixes to his property and there still may be mold in this unit even if you can no longer smell the mildew. Additionally, we were not give keys to access any of the amenities or mail. I was very disappointed with the way things were handled and I would not recommend using this property owner.

Great Value

Overall, the condo was nice for the price. Good value, very nice complex with 2 heated pools, a volleyball court, and a sauna. Gym was small but had basic equipment most would need. The owner was very easy to work with. Very easy to reach and very, VERY laid back. 5 stars for this!! One bedroom was pretty bright due to lighting in the entryway that you cannot turn off. There were no curtains in the rooms so we had to put blankets up over the windows. But the rooms were big and cozy. Ea The kitchen is a bit small and didn't have sharp knives or a cutting board. We like to make most of our meals fresh and so we did end up buying a set of knives and a cheap plastic cutting board to make our lives a little easier. No extra spices in the kitchen but it did have pots and pans, toaster, coffee maker and all your basic cooking equipment. :) The basic toiletries like toilet paper (only half rolls left on each roller in the bathrooms) shampoo and conditioner weren't there and there were very few trashbags under the sink. These aren't big issues but things to consider. A quick trip to the store and you're set. One thing to know...there is a background check required to stay in the complex for each person. This seems to be somewhat normal for the area but was not clearly stated in the profile for the listing. There were added fees charged to runthe background checks but the owner did split this cost with us. It also did require social security numbers. I might not have considered staying here if I had known this ahead of time, but would have also missed out on a great value. The owner was very flexible with all of our needs and was very hands off and easy to work with!!! Overall we had a GREAT experience!! Location is great! There is an Aldi's grocery store right up the road about a 2 miles I would say. Super cheap! One trip there and you can get all of your basic supplies and food in one trip without breaking the bank. There is also an Ada's natural store within walking distance. There's also a path along the road that you can run on or use a stroller on with some traffic but nice to have if you want it. Oh and dogs are allowed in this complex which can be a huge plus for travelers with pets! You can hear the traffic but I think this is part of the FL experience in the winter and you get used to it.

Owner was extremely accommodating and responded quickly to phone calls and texts. This condo is convenient to EVERYTHING! The pool is only steps away and is always clean and inviting
