Great beach property

The location was the best part. Beach property made you overlook any negatives. Overall the house was organized and for the most part clean. The house needs a thorough deep cleaning. Baseboards windows, carpet, etc. Although a beach property should not have carpet, it develops mildew smell.The kitchen and downstairs tiles are cracked. The edge of bathroom floors need scrubing. Upstairs hall bathroom tub fills when taking shower which means there is a clog somewhere. My sheets had two stains. Fortunately I always bring my own. Downstairs bathroom has rusted fixtures. Downstairs AC is poorly situated above a bed which can not be used if someone needs to sleep as it will blow directly on you. Downstairs AC does not have control.

Fine but corners cut everywhere

The location was great. The house was good. As with a lot of vacation rentals, corners are cut in a lot of place. Items of convience like the outside shower (to wash off sand), the kitch trash can, the ice maker, were all broken. The grill scared us. It needs some basic maintence (burners were broken and it needs to be cleaned badly) and almost started a fire because the grease trap build up was nuts. We had planned to use it for two nights, but the fire scared us so we just cooked everything inside. Again, a little TLC could make this property very very nice.

Beautiful, clean property with easy beach access

This property was perfect for our family. Kids had their own space in the basement. The beach access was the easiest we’ve ever had in all our years of vacationing. Easy communication with property management. Highly recommend this updated, clean property with beautiful views!

Great rental!

First id like to say I loved the fact that there wasnt a row of umbrellas in my view and we had a big area of beach to enjoy and not worry about bothering others. The beach access is perfect, its not a long walk and its very clean. Parking was easy as well and so convient it holds 2 cars. The condo its self was very clean and not just covered up with smells of cleaner, I actually appreciated that. The only improvement or complaint that could be made is the lamp wasnt very east to work by couch. The lights in the master room didnt work, we had to use the lamps. Other than that it was a joy to stay, we will most definitely be booking again.

House is perfect location, beach access is right out the back door, and there is some amazing restaurants right down the street. With kids it was great that if we forgot something at the house, they could walk back in get it.

Girls getaway

Very clean, comfortable beds. Great views. Amazing ease to beach. These are most important to me! Will gladly return. Just note, the beach chairs & umbrella are available but you will have to join condo next door. They will not set up in front of this condo. So bring your own. Minor, but good to know.

beautiful home and property

Here's what we loved: -very clean (and non-scented cleaning products) -home was exactly as pictured/described -amazing bedroom and bathroom sizes -plenty of beach toys -outdoor shower -multiple decks and deck furniture -washer/dryer -kitchen had appliances (coffee maker, toaster, blender) -two beach chairs and umbrella set up daily for us -located in Ft. Walton (less crowded than Destin) -even though beach was well-populated, the beach area in front of the five condos wasn't crowded at all -home is beautifully decorated, but not over-the-top -parking was easy -unit is very quiet. We couldn't hear our neighbors. -loved being able to rent for 5 days v. a full week (THANK YOU! for offering this!) -we weren't expected to do too much upon leaving A few notes: -the primary bedroom needs blackout curtains; it's bright in the room at 5:30 a.m. -the washer (at the end of the cycle) is VERY loud, even with the door closed -more towels were needed for the bathrooms and kitchen -the sliding door in bunk room DOES NOT lock. We reported this to the property manager who simply said the door "stick" is there for "added security." This only works from inside, not outside. Leaving your unit unlocked to go to the beach (beach access is in back) seems highly insecure. Why not put a numbered keypad on the slider or some other type of lock? This seems easily fixable and important. -couldn't find a broom to sweep -bunk room TV remote was missing upon arrival; reported to PM (no biggie)
