BEWARE IF CONSIDERING THIS UNIT. We booked this unit expecting a great trip to only be let down in a short amount of time. There are many things to list that is wrong with this unit so I’ll post them numerically with the affiliated pictures. 1) The first cockroach discovered on night 1 after having unloading everything and returning to the unit after dinner we were greeted by this when walking in the door.2) No working WiFi or cable in the unit3) None of the balcony lights work 4) Since there’s no cable/wifi me and wife looked up at ceiling and above master bed is ceiling full of dust5) There is terrible water damage and what appears to be signs of mold by dining area window 6) One of the dining chairs wasn’t connected at all7) The late night kitchen stroll that revealed numerous baby cockroaches and some adult cockroaches in sink area 8) An even later kitchen stroll that unveiled more baby cockroaches and another adult one 9) The living room coach has multiple dark stains on it10) I woke up and had a tick on my waist I discovered while in the shower after getting moved into the replacing unit.If it would allow me to post more photos I would but since it only allows 8 these are the ones I’m choosing. DO NOT BOOK THIS UNIT UNTIL ALOT OF WORK IS DONE.Vacasa was swift to realize the severity of the situation and relocated us into a new unit first thing the following day by noon and compensation for the night in this room.

Location Amazing

The location is truly amazing. The king-sized bed was so hard and I couldn't sleep on it, had to buy an air mattress to put on top of the mattress. The place smelled really bad so I had to buy air freshener and febreze. Originally, the place advertised a washer and dryer but after I read the reviews I saw that it has been broken for at least a couple years so I asked before I left and they confirmed that there was not a washer and dryer so I packed accordingly as you can't hang your wet suits and towels on balcony to dry. I had to lay sheets over the furniture to sit down because they are so filthy. The view from the bedroom was simply amazing. You can walk straight onto the beach. Even though there were a few things that needed attention, we made the best of it. The window has water damage by the dining room table. The living room tv doesn't have a remote to work the tv so you can only watch cable, but that was ok we spent most our time outside. It was very quiet there. At the time we went it was not crowded at all.

Very disappointed

We got to the property on Friday only to find out that our washer and dryer were out of order. We did contact the property managers and were told that they would not be able to fix them, but they did give us a partial refund. But since we had no way to dry our clothes and towels, we put them on the balcony to dry; and we received a violation notice on the door stating that we could not hang anything on the railings. Then when we tried to run the dishwasher, it also broke, so we had to wash all of the dishes by hand. There was no overhang on our balcony, so when it rained we were not able to go out onto the balcony. There is also no direct access to the beach other than the public access and one bridge on the opposite side of the building we were staying on.

Great beach access, older condo

Our goal was to stay on a less crowded beach with oceanfront view and this unit provided that. Including chair/umbrella was a bonus. We were surprised to learn when we arrived that the washer/dryer unit was out of order and it took a couple of days to get an update on whether it would be repaired--we had to keep asking. The best solution the agent could provide was the location of a laundromat. We spent a lot of vacation time washing clothes in the sink. Clearly the until was broken before we arrived and if we had been notified could have packed accordingly. I never got the impression that the management company had much interest in helping solve this problem and I hope future guests will be alerted to problems they might find on arrival.

Quiet location on beach. Condo outdated especially kitchen. Rusted appliances, filthy pots and pans, dirty furniture and broken rails on balcony

Mixed Feelings

The furniture in the interior of the unit was nice and comfortable and decorated well EXCEPT the bed in the master bedroom, which had a headboard just leaning against a wall. It wasn't connected to anything at all and was very noisy when turning over. The stove is an antique, and the refrigerator had no ice maker. Bathrooms were so small that my husband had to hang his bath towel in the spare bathroom because there wasn't room for both bath towels and a hand towel. Balcony was very disappointing! It's a nice, large balcony, but they only have 2 cheap, plastic chairs out there. Looking at all the other balconies in the complex, they had tables on the balconies and nice patio furniture. There is no roof, so we couldn't enjoy it when it rained. Also, there is no privacy. There is a large window from the unit above looking directly down on the balcony, and the above unit's balcony is also looking down on the balcony. Fortunately, no one was up there. The views from the unit can't be beat! It was gorgeous. It was also quiet in the complex. The property management company needs some improvement. I'm not sure how you can list on VRBO when you enlist a property management company to rent your unit...? Anyway, it's late October and the complex was only 50% full. I asked if we could check in earlier than 4pm and was told no because they had to do a thorough cleaning of the unit. When we checked in, the toilet in the master bath had not been cleaned. It was dirty. I had to buy cleaning supplies and clean the toilet myself, which is NOT what I want to do on my vacation. I was told I couldn't check in because they had to clean and yet I had to clean the bathroom! Then, the day we were to check out, the cleaning person banged on our door early wanting to know when she could clean the unit! Check out isn't until 10am! I was so mad! The pool is super small and is located on the street side - not the beach. The shrubs where you enter the gate to the pool were overgrown. The door to the ladies pool bathroom was swelled or something and wouldn't open and close well. Your only view from the pool was the parking lot and building. Because of the balcony furniture, pool situation, and really the issue with the property management company, I would not stay here again.

Great location with some issues

We loved the location. The place was very clean when we arrived. The condo is showing some age especially in the bathrooms. Also, the bed in the one room was not comfortable. The appliances are dated but when we were leaving they were changing the refrigerator. Considering Hurricane Sally arrived while we were there and lost power for awhile, we enjoyed are stay.

Condition of the condo.

Unfortunately I wasn’t real Pleased with the condo. It didn’t seem very clean. There was hair in the tub, it had HUGE roaches in it, several of the cabinet doors are coming off their hinges. I would check into whomever they have cleaning it because I do not think they are doing a very good job. This isn’t the owners fault but there is a pretty good chunk of money going towards cleaning and I do not think they or the renters are getting their money’s worth.

Great Location, Okay Amenities

Overall this was a wonderful place to stay! When they say "right on the beach", they mean it. It couldn't have been any closer and we loved that! There were a couple of things that could have made this even better....both tubs had a slow drip, the coffee pot smelled like melted plastic and we never could make a good pot of coffee, and there were very few kitchen amenities provided. So just a head's up...maybe bring things like salt and pepper, plastic wrap, spices and so on with you. Other than that though, really good and we would definitely stay here again.

Very nice unit but when it rains or sun out you have to go indoors because balcony has no cover. Only one elevator and wait sometimes is long, and fan not working in it. But overall great stay and unit has a beautiful view.

Unit had minor flaws, but was over all outstanding.

Not sure we would stay at another property managed by ResortQuest. Minor annoyances could have been prevented. Got a 7-page printable document with links and good directions/map to the condo. No map or directions to the ResortQuest office where we had to check in. We were arriving after hours, so had to get our packet from a lock box outside the office. Had to use the phone beside the lock box to call and get a code to open the box. That was even after calling to get directions to the office. We weren't the only people having to wait on the phone once we got there. The packet contained a key code for the condo that was only good til the next morning. Had to go back to the office to sign paperwork, have our credit card imprinted for incidentals, and get a new key code that would work for the rest of our stay. As for the unit itself, it is a very nice and spacious fifth floor corner unit that has an awesome patio with room to sit and enjoy the views! We were pleased to have quality furniture, as well as tile and laminate floors throughout (no carpet). There are a few things that should be fixed and would leave little or no room for complaints. The screen door has holes and does not close at all, so it made it harder to enjoy the breeze and view from the living room. The king bed headboard that was not attached to the bed or the wall. The beachy canvas print in the closet with a broken picture hanger should be on the wall above the bed. We appreciated the room darkening curtains, but there are gaps in the living room curtains due to being on multiple short rods. Over all, we have no regrets over choozing this unit. It was a great vacation.
