The room was completely infested with cockroaches. We were on a non-smoker floor and yet the room only smelled of cigarettes. We tried opening the window to get some fresh air but there wasn't anything else than the glass window so if we opened it, insects could then get in. The bathroom was dirty and the toilet was partly chipped off, making it unsafe to use. We ended up not sleeping there. As 3 young women, we felt incredibly unsafe.
I canât say for sure without speculating but this property feels like it houses long term low to no income residents and some laborers . My son and I were in town for a hockey tournament so our hours were irregular but no matter what time we returned to the hotel it was just the same group of people chain smoking by the back entrance. We could hear lots little kids inside rooms but never once saw them. Our beds were nice and the room appeared clean but cigarette/weed smoke permeated everything. And it was a non smoking floor. We had to open a window and lay a towel at the bottom of our door to keep the smell out. There was like a 2 1/2 inch gap between the floor and the door. The door handle to our room at some point before our stay must have put a hole in the wall because the hole was was repaired by what looked like someone throwing a 2 foot patch of white putty around it, then never sanded or painted it. The elevator doors kept opening and closing on its own when you pushed what floor you were on. When we were parking in the back (by the way they have more rooms than there is parking spaces) a women came jogging out of the back with no pants on and went in the Dunkin next door. Not the hotels fault. Highlight of my sons trip. This feels like hotel that is just struggling because of its clientele. The staff was friendly, but this is not a family âfriendlyâ hotel.
If youâre in a room facing Rt 9 prepare to feel like youâre standing out on Rt 9 - it is LOUD. Pretty sure there was zero insulation or sound proofing of any kind.
