The cabin is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The porch and outdoor spaces are excellent for enjoying the outdoors. We loved our stay and hope to return!
This place is perfect. Everything is so well laid out for the ultimate mountain cabin get away from the decor to the amenities and cleanliness. We enjoyed it so much so we booked it again for 1st week in November while I am attending a class in Franklin.
We enjoyed the cabin. It was very comfortable surrounded by the wonderful sounds of nature. The little touches added to the coziness of the home. The family can gather together in the living room, outside porch, where heated are for cool nights. The space was just what we need. Definitely would stay again.
I canât recommend this cabin highly enough. Clean, landscaped, next to a small creek, nicely appointed with everything you need and a huge amount of screened in porches so you can enjoy nature. One of the best stay experiences I have ever had.
Perfect for a quiet getaway. You're a 20-30 minute drive to any conveniences but if you want an adorable cabin with everything you need, stay here. From the kitchen, to the decorations, to the outdoor cooking area, everything was well thought out. The best part are the covered and screen porches. I spent more time outside eating, reading, and working than inside.
We very much enjoyed this location and its beautiful creek and knickknacks. Loved the screened in porches. perfect for bugs. Nice and peaceful. Would love to go back definitely recommend and no cell service which was amazing. We had a minimal issue with sugar ants and contacted the company right away. I would recommend the company put in place a how to use guide for stuff around the house. We could not utilize the sauna as there was no instructions and no instructions on what was going on with the outside heaters. I did contact the company and they did reply via email, but there was no information on how to work them. The heaters were not working outside due to the owner needing to update the outlets.
This was our second time staying at the cabin. Such a peaceful place to relax and get away from it all. The cabin is furnished beautifully and the location is just off of the beaten path but still close to restaurants, shoes, and fantastic hiking trails! Highly recommend!
We loved staying at Wake Robin.
The bottom line
âą We LOVED it and will absolutely be back
The Good
âą The Screen Porches. Lots of great places to sit. AWESOME
âą The queen bed was comfortable
âą Everything (almost) was well-labeled
âą Beautiful on the mountain
âą The fire pit
âą The grill inside the outdoor structure
âą Great communication with Vacasa
âą The decorations â my wife loved them. They put a lot of attention to those details (as a guy, not as important to me)
âą Instructions â all of them were really clear, before we arrived and once we got there
The Bad
âą Honestly, the only negative was that I couldnât figure out how to turn on the sauna, so I couldnât use it
The cabin is tastefully decorated in a chic modern antique style. Many small details were included with the highlight being all the outdoor screen areas! We enjoyed our stay!
What a wonderful cabin! I booked it because of all of the screened in porches. Unfortunately for us, the temperature dropped into the 40s, but I managed to spend some time reading and listening to the stream behind the house on the porch.
We loved all of the details. The artwork and photos on the walls were wonderful. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was great!
Our only problem was the WiFi and password were incorrect. We called guest services and were able to figure it out. Hope someone fixes that for the next person.
Overall, a wonderful stay at a perfect cabin! We will be back!
The owners of the cabin have done a wonderful job at decorating the cabin. The management company is less than desirable. Our check in was moved to 6pm. The Wi-Fi network and password was incorrect. No Wi-Fi connection, therefore no tv. The landline doesnât work. The management company said they would send someone but never heard back.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin in the woods. It was a great way to relax and unplug for a few days. The porches were our favorite areas whether it be in the morning with coffee and a Bible or in the evening with popcorn and a movie. ( A bed swing would make the area AMAZING!) The weather was perfect when we were there to enjoy sitting outside to hear the creek and the crickets. We were able to visit several nearby towns including Highlands, Cashiers, Asheville and Franklin. This area is very remote and the nearest town, Franklin, is 15-20 minutes away. Be sure you are comfortable driving on steep, curvy mountain roads and have good breaks! We were surprised at the small amount of bath linens when we arrived (no wash cloths/ one bathroom was missing a hand towel). Two days later we discovered a large load of towels and other bath linens in the dryer (it's in the basement) and it was still very damp. Another time when drying only a few towels it took two cycles to get them dry. The dryer may need servicing. Overall we did have an enjoyable time at the little cabin and would recommend it for those wishing to get away from the busyness of life for a few days.
This is a fairly new property on VRBO and we booked it with no reviews and after staying there one can tell that the owner has invested a good bit of thought and time into this property with hospitality and comfort in mind. The house is about a mile off of the main road about half way between Franklin and Lake Glenville. We felt very safe and secure and relaxed at the property. We stayed there for five nights and despite having some Internet issues early on we were able to conclude the trip on a good and connected note. After checking out we learned that the property will have a back-up wifi if the DSL internet is out in the future. Cell phone coverage is nonexistent in this area.
The property is better than what is photographed, which is a good thing. I would recommend to Vacasa, the hosting company during our stay and for many other properties in this area to step up their game. They could do better and should. House was very clean.
We cooked several meals at the house and had essentially everything we needed. It was a good time to decompress. Lots of named waterfalls in the area which is how we spent our week.
I mentioned the porches because that is why I booked it to begin with. Three separate comfortable sitting areas all screened in and within the sound of three gentle waterfalls behind the house.
Looking forward to return to area in the Fall and stay at Wake Robin, unless after reading this you decide to book it up before we solidify our reservation. Cheers
