Forget Me Not | Beautiful & Historic | Amazing Outdoor Space

Within 6 blocks of Main Street, this charming 1920's Basse block cottage is a gem in a quiet residential neighborhood. Forget Me Not was purchased by new owners in 2014 and they have made amazing changes to an already wonderful home. The house has been professionally decorated and is not only perfect, but fun to see all of the great “finds” they used. Each time you go into a room something different will appear.

The Parisian inspired kitchen is a subtle taupe with pristine white trim. Fully equipped for your cooking needs, the kitchen offers convenience accompanied by inventive style. If you love to cook this will be a wonderful kitchen during your stay. A table for six is perfect for this room and the “perfect” antique chandelier hangs over it. An open hutch showcases an antique collection of plates. In the front of the house is an elegant spacious yet comfy living room with a great sofa and two floral chairs. All are placed to enjoy the large flat screen television with DVD player. There is also a small white loveseat in the corner which adds an area for visiting or just relaxing.

Two bedrooms are found in the front of the house and both have queen beds with private baths. The first bedroom has a queen bed with white coverlet and accents of black and gray. Enjoy the large antique curio cabinet with so many wonderful fun and interesting finds. An attached bath with soaking tub and overhead shower is found adjacent to the bedroom. The second bedroom has a bath across the hall and has a spacious tiled large shower. Both bedrooms have flat screen cable televisions. The bed has a white tufted cover with accents of sea green and orange. A double glass patio door leads out to the future patio.

The master bedroom in the back of the house has an exquisite king bed topped with earth colors of beige and green. The bed and a loveseat are placed to enjoy the flat screen television. This room is very private and comes complete with it's own private small living room and patio. The attached bathroom has a large tiled and glassed shower. The master bedroom has an individual heating/air conditioning unit. This is one room you won't want to leave!!

This house is one of the top vrbo’s we have rented. Excellent for 3 couples. Very comfortable and bright. Very quiet neighborhood. One of the best features is the outdoor walled garden with a dining table and comfortable chairs under a covered roof that was a fantastic evening spot for our group, with soft lighting and even a fan up high and on a timer, and bug repellant provided. We didn’t use the fire pit, but wood is provided and even blankets for sitting out on a chilly night. All of the bedrooms were comfortable and the beds were comfortable, with bathrooms provided with extra toiletries and plenty of hooks and very nice towels. The master suite is really spacious and very private, with its own sofa and tv area. The other 2 bedrooms are spacious and separated from each other acoustically by being on opposite sides of a short hall. The house is decorated with curiosities that are fun and not overly invasive . The kitchen is well equipped, a Keurig coffee machine and a selection of pods. Plenty of cooking equipment and. Even ziplock bags. A nice large wooden table adjacent to the kitchen was a great morning gathering place. And a large south facing living room provided plenty of soft seating. The front porch was also a nice spot to sit. We will visit it again, and highly recommend it.

The house was immaculate and the decor was gorgeous. I have already went out and purchased some items to replicate at our ranch house. The hospitality was amazing. The beds were soft and comfortable. The back yard was amazing. We had friends in other houses that dropped by and were so jealous. This house has character and charm and access. We walked to Main Street. The town was more crowded than I have ever seen it. We had a blast and the house made the trip even better!!

Our host, all of the wonderful amenities, the beautiful Christmas decor & the overall charm of this lovely home.. All the little extras added to the comfort of our stay – the breakfast ring from the German bakery on Main Street, the coffee, the water, the half-and-half. All of the amenities in the bathroom were wonderful, the extra blankets were great. They thought of everything and made our visit so welcoming and enjoyable.

We will be repeat visitors to this lovely, comfortable home! With 3 bedrooms and three full bathrooms there was room for everyone. We cooked, walked to nearby shops and restaurants, hiked near Enchanted Rock, and took a cooking class! Whether at the dining table, the parlor or one of the beautiful outside areas, the most memorable moments were just relaxing at the house.

Wow! Perfect in every way

Wow! We picked this beautiful property for a weekend reunion of siblings and cousins. We knew that we wanted to meet in Fredericksburg for this trip and picked this property based on the great location close to town and based on how well this property would meet our needs. It delivered on all of those and exceeded our expecting the most unexpected ways. It was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The rooms were perfect, the beds comfortable, the bathrooms well appointed and the living spaces inside and out were a joy. What we didn’t expect was how well curated the decorations, the care / attention to detail of each room AND how well equipped the kitchen was. So many short term rentals are missing something that you have to run out to purchase. Nothing was missing here. Heck, the kitchen might even have more than we have at home. There were so many examples of how this property exceeded our expectations. 10 out of 10, 5 stars of 5, 2 enthusiastic thumbs-up for this property. We will be back.

We loved every part of our stay. The house is set up perfectly for three couples and has wonderful outdoor spaces. The kitchen had all we needed and was so cute! Absolutely loved everything about the house; from the location to the decor. Each room was perfectly appointed. The bedrooms were spaced far enough apart that we all felt like we had our own space. Comfortable Stay

This is a well appointed home with everything you would need to thoroughly enjoy your stay here. We were very impressed with the small touches, such as a beautiful pastry provided for our breakfast. The host provided bottled water and nice coffee bar options. We highly recommend this home for your next visit to Fredericksburg.

Wonderful!

I've never stayed in a vacation rental that was so thoughtfully equipped and comfortably furnished. It was worth our stay just to explore the owners' expertise in remodeling and decorating. We especially enjoyed the multiple outdoor, private spaces.

Oktoberfest Vacation

This house is so charming, exquisitely decorated, extremely inviting and comfortable. The grounds were just as beautifully decorated and were just as inviting to sit outside in many different areas to fit your mood. The hosts surely want you to have everything you need as we lacked for nothing. They even left us a welcome pastry from a local bakery. The beds in every room (as reported by occupants of each bedroom) were very comfortable. The linens were also high quality. We were there for Oktoberfest and it was an easy walk to the Market. No need to find parking for the festival. The six adults enjoyed the house and town so much we plan to return just to visit.
