This delightful 133 m2 house offers a comfortable and inviting space for your stay in this relaxing city.

This typical Madeiran property is on a hillside and is part of a cluster of traditional houses that can be reached by car via narrow, sloping roads. You'll have to walk about 100 meters along a narrow path between the houses to access it.

As you enter the property, you'll find a lovely patio where guests can use the washing machine and barbecue outside. The stairs to the lower floor lead to a private space that includes a comfortable living space and a bedroom with two single beds.

Back on the main floor of the courtyard, upon entering the door on the first floor, guests will find an open-plan kitchen, which includes an oven, a microwave, a hob, and a dining table; a living room with a comfortable seating area and a television; a bedroom with a single bed and a support desk; a second bedroom that has a double bed; and a complete bathroom.

Going up the stairs to the second floor, you'll find another bedroom with a walk-in closet, a double bed, a complete bathroom, and a wonderful terrace with a breathtaking view.

The house is always professionally cleaned for your comfort.

This property is not suitable for people with mobility problems.

Due to the tropical climate and higher-than-average temperatures, some insects are commonly found on the island.

Important note: One of the rooms is in a basement with poor ventilation. That room can be used only as last option if the reservation is for 7 people.

Situated near the heart of Funchal, the property enjoys a prime location close to both the bustling city centre and the stunning Atlantic coastline.

The neighbourhood around the property is a mix of residential buildings and local businesses, with narrow streets and alleyways characteristic of traditional Madeiran architecture. Small cafés and family-owned restaurants dot the area, offering a variety of local flavours and a cosy atmosphere for a relaxing meal or coffee break. Several convenience stores, shops, and essential services are also nearby, catering to both locals and visitors.

Just a short walk or drive from the property is the inviting Funchal Harbour, a popular area known for its lively marina and waterside promenades. Here, visitors can watch boats and yachts come and go, enjoy fresh seafood at waterfront restaurants, or simply take in the views of the vast Atlantic Ocean. The harbour area is also where various boat tours depart, offering whale and dolphin-watching experiences, scenic cruises, and other excursions along Madeira’s stunning coastline.

Several key attractions are within easy reach for those interested in Funchal’s cultural offerings. The CR7 Museum, dedicated to Portugal’s famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, is located close to the waterfront, providing an interesting stop for sports fans. Nearby, the Madeira Story Centre presents the history and culture of the island through interactive exhibits, a great way to learn more about Madeira’s fascinating heritage.

Nature lovers and garden enthusiasts will appreciate that the renowned Santa Catarina Park is also nearby. This beautiful park offers panoramic views of the bay and is filled with flowering trees, walking paths, and peaceful spots to unwind while overlooking Funchal’s cityscape. A bit further up the hillside, you can find the Madeira Botanical Garden and the Monte Palace Tropical Garden, both of which feature extensive collections of exotic plants and scenic viewpoints.

Transportation near the property is convenient, with local buses and taxis readily available, while Funchal’s central location makes it easy to explore other parts of the island. From this vantage point, visitors can quickly reach Funchal’s cable car station, providing a scenic ride up to Monte, where even more gardens, historical sites, and iconic toboggan rides await.

The property is easily accessible by public transport and car; however, the house is only reachable via a pedestrian road.

The nearest station, CZ CAM dos Saltos bus station (260mts): Buses 20, 21, 22, 56, 103, 138.

Madeira Airport is a 22-minute drive from the property.

The check-in will take place directly at the property with the presence of a greeter, depending on availability.

Once a reservation is confirmed, guests are requested to complete a guest registration form following the legal obligations stipulated by local authorities in Portugal.

We provide the basic amenities for the first use: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products and bin bag. Please let us know if you need cleaning or extra linen; we will gladly provide an additional charge.

There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at a minimum.

Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€.

Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or service to open the door during your stay).

Extra cleaning with linen: the price of a cleaning fee.

Extra Clothing: 30€ (Towels and sheets for 2pax, i.e. when the sofa bed is not included).
