Do not recommend this hotel.

I booked the hotel online and I checked in at 2:00 a.m went to sleep then In 7:00 a.m the hotel phone rang and it was from the front desk; they asked me to check if the bathroom had a plunger. I asked them If they are seriously waking me up for? To find your plunger? Is this how you treat customers? They said in all seriousness “Yes”

Great family motel, clean and affordable

One of the best budget motels we have stayed at. We travel a lot as a family of 5 and one of the best things about this room was the cushioned shelf/window seat above the AC unit. My youngest thought it was so cool and slept all night on it lol. The AC wasn't working great and had issues throughout the night so it was a bit too warm, but the staff was so quick to fix it for the next guest. The staff is honestly one of the friendliest hotel employees we've ever encountered! They were so helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was ok, waffles and cinnamon rolls, toast, yogurt and cereal. Coffee was good and the staff was so sweet and made sure I didn't need anything else before they cleaned up at 9am. Would 100% stay here again!

Older motel with some updates. There is no elevator so we had to carry all items up a flight of stairs (assuming handicap rooms are all on the first floor). Chose a queen bed because they had no king beds and the mattress needs a serious upgrade. Breakfast room was no ready at 6am, we had to wait for food to be set out and floor to be mopped.

Check out is at 11 am. If you want to sleep in a little you will hear housekeeping going door to door knocking to see who has checked out or not. They do not have the door hangers indicating guests are still in the rooms.

Great for a night stay

I had a good evening while staying at here for a night. Friendly staff, quick check in and out process, quiet, and the shower had great water pressure and got hot quickly. The bed was comfortable and pillows worked well for me too. The AC got the room cooled down quickly and the sound of the AC did not bother me. There are also lights all around the building which made me feel very safe when I had to bring my dog out at night. I cannot comment on the complimentary breakfast as I am not a morning person with food and tend to eat later in day. As for the WiFi, it worked very well, I had no interruptions or weak signals like I do at some accommodations if other people are using it too. Overall, if you are looking for a place to stay while on the road or just need a place to lay your head, I do recommend the Microtel in Gallup. It met all my main needs after being on the road and needing sleep. Also, was clean which is essential! I would definitely stay here again in the future.

We had a great stay here and appreciated the kindness of the staff. The only negatives were that the building looked very worn with paint peeling in some places and several breakfast items ran out by 8 AM. The rooms were comfortable though
