Needs help

This property needs maintenance and some inexpensive updates. Balcony furniture hugely Uncomfortable!! Door to balcony difficult for a weightlifting teen age grandson to slide open and closed. Hotel type coffee maker makes 5 cups. This property needs a little love!!

Exactly what we were looking for

Stayed there with wife and 3 kiddos (17yo,15yo, 10yo). We were looking for a place on Galveston island with a little bit bigger pools and lazy river and amenities for my older kids. This place was awesome! This was our 8th beach trip as a family and the first time we have ever stayed in a place that did not smell like mildue. Amenities and condo were all as advertised. Love the location as it was close to activities on rainy days. Ice maker on fridge did not work after the first day and there was no lock on the guest bathroom but these were small things in the midst of a 5star stay. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and mostly will book this place again for next summer! Thanks for hosting us in such a great unit! All that’s left now is to apply the aloe!

Replace shower head and get another remote control

The showerhead in the master bathroom has a big black corrosion or mildew spot on it. Needs to be cleaned or replaced. Also, both bedrooms have a Xfinity remote control, but the living room does not?! Call Xfinity and they will promptly give you another remote for the main box in the living room. Without it, it seems impossible to go the Xfinity guide and (local) channels on the main TV!!

Disappointed in this condo

This was not our first stay at Diamond Beach but we have been in other condos and during summer. While the property/lobby/condo were clean, the lazy river and pools were filthy. We were there for a week bit only in 516 from Fri-Sun when we got our grandson and switched to a 2 br. It wasnt until Saturday that the pools were finally cleaned.My biggest issue was the thermostat was controlled by property manager, not us. It would clearly show where I set it but it would not reach that temp until midnight. Then it appeared by 7 AM they would auto reset it to 73 and we could not override it. My body temperature does not regulate correctly and 73 for me may as well have been 90. I had sweat pouring off me. The condo itself is needing paint and the toilet paper holder in guest bath was broken and under the sink.On the plus side the beds were comfortable with great pillows and living room furniture was nice. Management was very responsive when we reached out, especially after we were 2 hours down the road and hubby realized he left items in the nightstand and we turned around and went back.

Money over people

Location , Location, location....... if this was a normal LOCATION the star would be 1 or 2 at the most! The shower has mold on the walls and the shower head .. Didnt have a broom and for a visitor staying 7 days not acceptable. The amount of supplies for someone spending that kind of money , you would think you would have the red carpet rolled out for you or a door mat painted red ! A 1/4 bottle of dish soap , 1 roll of toilet paper per restroom , icemaker not working , 3 to 4 trash bags , main bedroom sink splashes everywhere, pillows has strains on them . Oyeah 1 bigger pot .The complex was cutting down palm trees near pool ,so pool was closed .That could've been relayed to perspective buyers . I hope this helps the next visitor because im quit sure they will repair problems and will have more hospitality . Find a reason to Love someone or something. EZ

My children were exceptionally satisfied with this condo!!! Beds were comfy and everything was stocked and cleaned. Beautiful facilty and everyone was so nice!!!!!! We will definitely be back!!!!

Perfect

We had the best time at this resort. We hardly wanted to leave since we had so much fun at the pools, arcade, and theatre. The unit was very comfortable, we all slept so good. We went on a fishing charter and had no problem cooking up our fish because the kitchen was so well stocked. If your going to Galveston, I highly recommend this rental.

Nice but needs some maintenance

This property is super nice, easy, and clean, but all the appliances need maintenance. The ice maker does not work, the fridge water filter needs to be changed, and the dishwasher doesn't work. We did not try the washer/dryer because we had read previous reviews, so we avoided that altogether. We would definitely stay there again if those appliances were fixed.

Great place but most appliances are broken

Took the family to Galveston for beach vacation. Location was great. The condominium itself has great pools and amenities. Also great places right by where we were staying. The issue I had with the condo is that the dryer and dishwasher did not function at all. It’s hard to be with small kids when the dishwasher and dryer do not work. I checked other reviews and it seems both have been reported for months that they are broken but they have not been fixed. I wouldn’t think it would take months to replace a dryer and a dishwasher. They are also not expensive appliances so there really isn’t an excuse. My suggestion would be to avoid this rental since it doesn’t seem like the owner cares about this property and does not maintain it appropriately. Besides that it was good.

Nice unit, but...

The unit is nice and overall what the listing describes. I knew the dishwasher wasn't working (noted in description) but was not expecting the clothes dryer to not also be working. This was reported within an hour of checking in. First response was "Thanks for letting us know". Second was "do you want it fixed?" There was no further action taken. The end result was half a day of our vacation at a laundromat instead of the beach. So if the listing still (after a year!) says the dishwasher is broken, assume the other appliances are too. The overall property was fine and would use it again.
