The condo is very nice, clean and everything you could ask for. The view is great. Enjoyed the pelican flying by. The first day there was just a trickle of water from the lavatory faucet. By the second day there was no water at the lavatory. By the end of our stay also just a trickle at the kitchen sink and shower. We were not given the Host contact as we always have before. We also could not get internet line in the living room TV. Probably because we are seniors and probably many of the renters will be also! With these problems fixed, the condo would be highly rated
We took a quick trip to Galveston last minute over spring break and got lucky this property was still available. Although my husband is scared of heights we really enjoyed the view. The place was cozy and clean. Down sides to our stay: there was major construction at the property so the banging started earlier than weâd like for a vacation. Also the outside of the building torn apart from all the construction. Lastly, I would recommend this place if you have more than two people bc the pull out coach bed was really old so you can feel the bar in your back. The owners were great and offered recommendations upon check in and communicated instructions clearly.
The view is gorgeous but you can only see the beach and ocean. The sound you hear is LOUD 4 lanes of fast moving traffic. You simply cannot hear the waves! My friend had no idea I spent over $1200 for only 3 nights but when I told her I was disappointed she said. It isn't bad but it looks run down and dirty! I had to fix the bathroom sink- clogged with nasty hair. I wrote and requested the couch sheets be fresh but sneezed for an hour the first night because of all the dust on the Non wrapped sheets sitting on a shelf in the closet. The floors were very dirty and I swept and mopped them before my friend arrived. That's when I found the broken, dangerous tile under the rug in the main thoroughfare. 3 lamps and a closet light with 1 burned out and 2 missing and no stopper for the tub. I love a warm bath to relax!!
Perhaps the owners were trying to be nice by leaving lots of stuff in the frig. But during COVID, I thought it was very inappropriate! I would never stay at this particular condo again!!
The condo management was kind and very helpful. They let us know that it is NOT SAFE to leave your car in the front and showed us how to get to the gated parking lot.!
What started as an exciting 1st trip since pandemic, turned into a nightmare
We weren't very impressed w/ the condos in general & the room was just okay. We also discovered there were broken tiles being covered w/ a rug because we had to walk over them. The elevators in the building are super sketchy. My husband had to pry the doors open twice for us to get out & one of them even stopped working at some point during our stay. We heard similar stories from other people as well. It was the 3rd night of our trip that we couldnât overlook. I woke up at 3am to the sound of water running. I got up to see what it was to find the hot water heater had burst & water was everywhere. I woke my husband & immediately started calling downstairs. It took 10 calls to get ahold of someone. I sent text messages to the 2 owner numbers & also called w/ no one answering. The only staff was an older woman who'd been dealing w/ the customer 2 floors below us because their condo was flooding due to the mess we had. Once I finally spoke to who I thought was an owner, he told me that he was just in charge of maintenance & that he would try to get ahold of someone to come fix the issue & that I needed to call the owner. All the while telling me "this is out of his control". The whole ordeal became our problem because we were the ones going w/out sleep, having to figure out how to shut off the rusted valve w/o tools & soaking up water the very few towels we had while water continued to poor out. I called the other number again & spoke to Bill. He assured me that someone would be coming to fix the issue. Bill called me back at 7am & told me that someone would be there in 1-2 hrs & that he would get back w/ me. When I still hadn't heard from him by 9:40 & no one had shown up to make repairs, I called Bill back. I got a totally different & rude version of him at that point. Told me that someone had called, NO. Then someone text you, NO. He then yelled to check my email & check w/ people downstairs. So my husband did that, only to be told no one had talked to them. We weren't even able to go eat breakfast because we were told to wait. I spoke w/ Mirna shortly after & was told we would get a refund & into a different room. That bedroom was so bright from the outside light, so very little sleep. We left 7/19, text her on 7/24 & told she would get back w/ me. I text 7/29 she said she would take care of it. This ALL could have been handled differently. BE KIND & KEEP YOUR WORD. We were scheduled to have photos that evening & were completely exhausted.
The location is great. Directly across Seawall Blvd. is access to the beach. Perfect size for 2 people, but I wouldnât suggest anymore than that. Not complaining, just saying. A couple gripes would be, the cable was in and out constantly, so watching anything while relaxing was pointless. Not really the owners fault in my opinion, but maybe Xfinity could be called to look into a fix. Water pressure was sub par and there were long hairs on the walls in the shower, so clean up before we got there should have been a higher priority. Check in process was smooth and easy, as well as checking out. Overall it was a good experience! Would recommend to others!
