The house is beautfiful and very clean. The neighbors were friendly. The host stayed intouch to ensure our needs were met. Location is amazing it was easy access to beach or strand. I will defintely stay at this location.

Beautiful historic home. Close to all the fun stuff: downtown, ports, seawall, UTMB. The rail trolley runs right in front of the house. Trolley stop is a short walk down the street. Very comfortable beds, and a large kitchen. Would definitely stay here again.

Built in 1899, so expect aged and antique venue. The private pool was a blessing! Great experience near the beach, The Strand, the sea wall, and a ferry ride to Bolivar peninsula. We had a lovely family (3 generation) vacation.

Beautiful historic home!

We chose this property because of it proximity to the historic downtown area. Everything was comfortable and the house had everything we needed. The kids loved the pool and our older kids appreciated that their rooms all had tvs. Plenty of space to eat, entertain, and relax.

Neat home

We stayed for a few nights after a cruise. Was nice to be able to have a little yard, pool, and the ability to cook a few meals for ourselves. The home is in a neat area, the main road out front gets a little busy with night time noise. Easy to access and the owner was very responsive to any questions we had.

House was perfect for mardi gras weekend! Walk to strand wasn't bad, less than a mile. Owner was easy to reach by text for questions or concerns and responded quickly. We loved the house! Beds were comfortable. Loved that this was a historic home.

Amazing location with a great pool!

We loved our stay, the house is incredible and the location was fantastic. It was conveniently located so we could walk most places including the seawall and CVS for anything we forgot to bring or needed. We also went in the pool everyday and thoroughly the yard and many places to sit and eat al fresco. The host was also so amazing to deal with, answered quickly and provided excellent information. We loved the front porch swing and watching the trolley go by. Would stay here again in a heart beat!

WE LOVED IT!

We arrived on Friday and instantly fell in love with the house. Right down the street from Pleasure Pier and the Seawall! The house stayed cool even with high humidity, rain, and heat! It was more than enough room for all of us! The pool was also perfect size! The owner was soooo responsive and sent regular updates! The house was so clean and well kept as well! We can’t wait to stay again!!!!

Although the weather didn't cooperate most of the time, we did get to use the pool one afternoon and it was very enjoyable, with areas to sit and lounge in the pool. The kitchen is fully stocked with glassware, dishes and cooking utensils. A roll of paper towels as well as dish soap and washing pods are provided. A limited supply of coffee was available. Bring storage bags, foil, etc., if you need them. There are several tables in the backyard to sit and enjoy the backyard, and a nice swing on the front porch to enjoy. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms roomy. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and washcloths, even for a large group. Hand soap, shampoo and conditioner were provided.The location is nice on a busy boulevard, but we never had trouble parking in front of the home, and it was fun watching folks walking their pups in the mornings and evenings. The house was very clean, and the a/c kept us comfortable. There were numerous ceiling fans through the house which kept the ventilation nice.

When we arrived, we were unable to get the doors unlocked with the code. After getting into the house, I noticed that the living room furniture was filthy with stains. In addition, the shower handle in the master bath is close to falling off. Other than those things, the house was very nice. The beds were super comfortable and the location of the property was great.

Spring Break 2023 from Minnesota

The home was nice and comfortable. It met our needs for cooking and grilling. Neighborhood was quiet. Owner was prompt in responding to questions and needs. Pool was smaller than it looks in pictures. We had rain a few days. Location was central to shopping and the Pleasure Pier, which the boys totally enjoyed. If we decided to return to Galveston, we would definitely consider renting this home if available. Thank you Eric

Beautiful home, great location

My family and I rented this home the third week of August and we couldn't have been happier with the property. This historic home was beautifully updated to make it functional without sacrificing many of the original characteristics that make this home stand out. It is located equidistant between downtown and the seawall to make an easy journey to whichever destination you have in mind for the day. Having the pool in the backyard was perfect for the kiddos on days we decided not to do the beach and being able to watch the trolley go by the front yard was fun as well. The home was clean and had just the right amount of amenities for our week-long stay. Communication with the owner was easy and the check-in/check-out process went smoothly. We all had a wonderful trip that was made that much easier by renting this home. Thank you for a great experience!

This was an awesome stay. Although pool was very small it met the needs of my gkids

All together the house was very comfortable. I do think there needs to be a dust pan with a broom. A pancake griddle would have been great! A mat to dry feet out of pool would be also great. A water hose was much needed. The TV in the middle room didn’t work but we didn’t miss it😊

Wonderful home

This property was just as the pictures show! It was beautiful, clean and close to everything in Galveston. The pool was the best part… so relaxing without the crowds! Definitely recommend this home.
