Room smelled like mold, several outlets didn't work. Fridge was broken. More importantly the room I was in had a security issue, as soon as you open the door you're on the sidewalk anyone could be standing there it was no buffer @ all. I wouldn't stay there again. Also no hot breakfast just a bunch of packaged Sam's club items & horrible coffie

I was attracted to the place because of its beautiful views and distance from the beach. I could look out my window from bed and enjoy the awesome beach view with waves rolling in. I was impressed by how clean they were. The place had been renovated, the beds were clean and comfortable as well as clean restrooms.

Getting paid to play.... i mean work!

The room was very clean. The bed clean and very comfortable. It has a great location walking distance to the pier. Awesome bar "The poop deck" next door and tons of restaurants in walking distance. I could see the beach from my room. The breakfast was packaged products and easily transportable. The staff was super friendly and the price from hotels.com made it a deal u couldn't pass up

We walked in and the room reeked! This place should be condemned! We went back to the front desk and asked for a refund. We called Hotels.com and they said they would request a refund. It’s been over a week and still no response or refund from the hotel.

It's on the Seawall, so view of beach was excellent. Walk across Seawall Blvd to walk down to beach. That was good -- location. The motel was what I expected, so I gave an overall 3. It's old and in need on lots of cosmetic attention. Our room had newer laminate and tile flooring but walls showed past patches and was in need of new drywall and paint. Air conditioning unit worked well but the fins on front of the unit hadn't been cleaned in months, I imagine. Bathroom tub had serious rust stains and needs to be replaced. The owners need to let go of some of their profits for a few years and do some serious maintenance and repair. Some staff were friendly and other staff had little skill in public relations and dealing with the public. Some appeared to be happy you were there, while others seemed to care the less. We stayed one night as planned, and it was okay, bedding and room were clean, but will probably seek out another motel when we make another visit to Galveston.
