Overall, the condo was nice—everything was clean and well taken care of. However, I did have a few issues with our stay, mostly related to how the listing was worded.Nowhere in the listing did it mention that the condo was on the bay side. The way it was written made it seem like it was right off the ocean, as if you could walk straight out the back door onto the beach—but that wasn’t the case. The condo is on the bay side, not the beach side. The front desk staff wasn’t very helpful and came across as a bit lazy. Also, the listing mentioned that amenities from the Point West Beach Club were included, but it didn’t say you had to pay 25 per person for a paper wristband to access them. Without the wristband, you couldn’t use the pools, hot tub, or private beach—despite the listing making it sound like those amenities were part of the stay.It would have been helpful if the listing had clearly stated that there was a 25 fee for those “included” amenities. Another thing to be aware of: the condo is about 30 minutes away from downtown Galveston, and we weren’t able to get an Uber or Lyft during our stay. This made transportation a challenge, especially for those planning to explore the area without their own vehicle.
