The light in the bathroom was so bad it was hard to see to get dressed. The ceiling fan control in the bedroom did not work and was stuck on high. The ceiling fan and light in the living room did not work at all. The heater on the wall in the living room and bedroom did not heat the room. Had to stand right in front of the heater to feel the heat. The staff were wonderful. Very helpful, nice and friendly.

The full English breakfast was to die for. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate our every need, including special up-close parking to help with my mobility challenges. The bar was charming and they bent over backwards to accommodate our guest who came to join us for cocktails.

The hotel was great, beautiful inside and out. Great location with walking to nearby coffee shops. We didn't go to the coffee shops, because our coffee and breakfast was wonderful. They take reservations for dinner because they really have a gifted chef there. Very personable staff made it a personally rewarding to meet them. We felt like we and made new friends. We stayed in the cottage on the grounds next to the main house and was very quiet. A great mattress to sleep om and comfy robes and slippers to slip into. On the street parking was easy and convenient for us too.

The George Manor is a charming restored Southern house.It is very clean and well kept. Staff were very friendly giving very good service. Breakfast was a delicious full English breakfast. I will stay again when in Galveston.

It was clean, functional and Micheal and the staff was kind, friendly and helpful. It was girlfriend's 50th birthday and they surprised with a birthday banner and a treat. So that was wonderful for us! We had the white room. The only I'd say is I wish we would've known about our bathroom being across the hallway. That proved to be not as efficient for us but made it work. Thank you!

What a unique property. My wife and I stayed here the night before our cruise departure and couldn’t have been more satisfied with the property and the service. We also dined here and the food was fantastic and more than we could eat. We didn’t know they provided pickup/dropoff to the ship and parking while on the cruise until after we paid for parking at the port. Next cruise, we will also use these services. We will be back.

The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, delicious homemade sweet roll, and a variety of traditional English breakfast items. Coffee was great. Very attentive, helpful staff. Afternoon English tea with homemade scones was great but needed to be ordered in advance. Excel suite was spacious.
