The self checkin process was terrible. They sent me two different door codes to get inside. Then the computer wouldn't take my Expedia itinerary number to check me in. I tired my number and name multiple times and it finally went through. The desk troubleshooting number on the wall next to the self check in no one answered.
The walls are so thin I could hear the neighbors drinking their coffee. Safe and convenient but check in and privacy could use work.
I wouldâve preferred to have two room keys (maybe I missed something when checking in via the kiosk?).
Shower was terrible - flooded the bathroom floor and leaked down to the floor beneath us (room 206).
Apart from that, lovely room in a lovely location.
Served its purpose for a quick overnight stay. Check-in was a little frustrating as we arrived early and there was no staff on-site to hold our bags- would have been helpful as international travellers with suitcases. We received a code to enter the building and it was incorrect. We had to rely on other guests randomly entering/exiting until we received the correct code hours later. Our room had a bizarre odour that was ?fishy. Around 11pm guests in the surrounding rooms could be heard yelling through the walls. Like I said, it was just okay.
Great location and quality of accommodation. Self check in was super quick and easy too. Only issue we found was our window faced onto the bins area, so was noisy and a bit of a smell when we left the window open, plus no view of course. Great price though, would stay again
Very happy with our stay in Abbeygate Townhouse. The rooms were spotless and fresh. In an excellent location we were only a 5-7 min walk from eyre square. Although this hotel is self check in it is very easy to carry out and when there was a problem with the key card machine there was a lovely man there within 10 minutes who helped us and was very friendly and professional. The beds were like a cloud of air to sleep in. All together a wonderful stay and I would 100% recommend to others. We will definitely be back.
Location was fabulous. The rooms were clean and relatively spacious. We had trouble locating the parking lot affiliated with this property, but eventually figured it out. We also had trouble with the entry process. Both could be better laid out for newcomers. Overall though our experience was good.
Great little place! Only complaints are it was hard to sleep because the mattress was hard, and the towels left fuzz all over us when we dried off from taking a shower.
The shower water was scalding. It was impossible to take a shower. There was no parking included in the stay. Parking across the street was an additional 20 pounds for the day. The person above us- room 102 had heavy feet. The walking started at 12pm and went on. Perhaps they could walk lighter if ppl are below.
The location was great.
The automated check-in process needs work. Somebody standing behind me or even on the street outside could have seen my personal details including full date of birth in a VERY large font on a large screen. Totally unnecessary.
Room was cozy and the bed was comfortable enough. I had to rate the staff 1 star because there are no staff. I'm sure there are housekeepers because the property was clean. Hopefully the housekeepers are paid well as there's no desk agents on the payroll.
Great location and very clean and nice, but if there is anything happening at the nearby club, it is loud at night. Like, so loud there were complimentary ear plugs in the room. In other nights, it was absolutely perfect.
