Good choice for Galway Visit

We had a wonderful stay in Galway and highly recommend the Victoria Hotel especially for its exceptional location within the centre . We even hauled our suitcases from the train station as it was only minutes away. Breakfast was fine , bed was comfortable …. Good solid spot in heart of Galway!

Nice property, great location. However, we booked and paid for our room months ahead and had asked for (and been confirmed) a room with a Queen bed. We are both over 6ft tall, so bed size was important to the booking. When we arrived (around 6PM) we were told that our bedding of choice was no longer available because it had been given to someone who had checked in earlier. ??? This would have been understandable if we had not paid in advance. In any case, we had to make due with twin beds that were small for our requirements, Very disappointing

The hotel staff was great. The breakfast was great. The hotel not so much. We were on the side of the hotel where we could hear bottles being discarded overnight many times, then the trash truck collecting the bottles very early in the morning. The hotel has no air conditioning so we had to leave our windows open to get any cool air at all. We would not stay at this hotel again.

The shower pressure was quite sad. Twas like a spring rain mist. It was reported to the staff but we saw no improvement during our stay. The WiFi was also very poor. Otherwise the location was grand. The room was a fare size for the price and the bed was comfy.

Not much to look at from outside, but modern stylish design inside. Close to town centre. Friendly, efficient staff. Quiet room. Breakfast perhaps rather limited compared to some, but food good. Our double room felt more like a single with a double bed (one side against a wall, always awkward) but actually well laid out in spite of limited space

Very nice property in a very centrally located area close to everything historic. Staff was very nice. Rooms were very clean and comfortable hotel had many options for better prices on parking and prepaid breakfast. I would not hesitate to stay at this property again.
