The house was well appointed and was decorated well and the views of the mature trees was relaxing. The beds were comfortable. An enormous tub with a large window that looks out on the private property was delightful for me. The outside patio was large and comfortable and there are two fire pits. The neighborhood was very quiet and clean. We brought our dog and didnât have to worry about her as the yard is fenced. The walk to the beach was hilly and, as one would expect, the walk from the across the soft, clean sand was a workout. I canât imagine anyone who has difficulty walking could manage.
Beautiful property, wonderfully maintained with everything we needed. We loved all the fun artwork, games and being so close to the beach. Would definitely recommend!
Beautiful place. You can feel the love that the hosts put into it and you'll want for nothing. Close to the beach with great foresty outdoor space. Host was a pleasure to work with. Miller Beach is a treasure, and this charming house is an ideal way to experience it!
Perfect Holiday Getaway in a Funky, Serene Setting
Our stay was nothing short of amazing! The host was incredibly responsive and flexible, allowing us to make a last-minute change to our reservation. She went above & beyond to be accommodating, which made it possible for our family to still gather for a special Christmas and New Year celebration. The house itself was full of character, with unique artwork and quirky touches that made it feel like a fun, creative retreat. The serene location, surrounded by nature, provided the perfect backdrop for our holiday gatherings. It had all the comforts of homeâplenty of space, warmth, and charm. We couldn't have asked for a better place to make lasting memories with loved ones. Highly recommended!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and so well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. Highly recommended.
Very nice house. One i wish i could retire there. Had everything u needed. My grandkids and my son loved it. Alot of room to move around. Would highly recommend.
The vacation home near Miller Beach in IN was comfortable and great a place to stay while we explored the Dunes and beaches. It was well stocked with everything from complete kitchen to linens and laundry as well as relaxing entertaininment via streaming TVs. We enjoyed the fire pit outdoors creating s'mores and memories of a wonderful time together. Our hostess was available to answer questions and guide us through this lovely area. Thanks for sharing your home!
House itself is very cool and stylish and comfortable in all areas. Itâs early spring and the property yard and outdoor areas listed were not cleaned, wet and damaged or in unusable condition. Fortunately the windows clearly showed off the beautiful trees around the property from inside.
Note the very large cleaning fee is not revealed on the listing.
Spent three nights for a visit to the Dunes, drive down to see eclipse and great walks on the beach. The house was perfect for our group of six and puppy.
Plusses:
Short walk to gorgeous beach!
The yard was a perfect place for pup to play and get some energy out. Didnât use the fire pit or grill but nice to have.
Kitchen was well stocked and we made several meals.
Beds were comfortable and extra blankets were available.
Opps:
One of the rooms the blinds were not blackout so kids woke up early but not the end of the world.
Other:
Read an earlier review that some of the art was semi-nude (including a mini-replica of Michelangeloâs David), so we were prepared with our kids.
We had a great time and would definitely start again!
One of the most gracious host. One of the most scenic and exquisite properties. Absolutely tastefully decorated from the linens from the Hyatt appliances to the nice stemware to the exceptional utensils. Everything just amazing I would definitely stay here again and plan on it and suggest everyone to book this property. Sending love from Minneapolis and New York City. Definitely enjoyed the stay during a time of grievance.
Had a great stay over Thanksgiving, the kitchen had everything for cooking a great meal. The living room/kitchen is perfect for enabling family to spread out a bit and still be in the same area, and the view through the trees was wonderful! The nearby grocery store has all the basics but if you need specialty items you might want to bring those along. Easy walking distance to the beach! Would love to stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay. Good location for exploring the Indiana Dunes and just a few blocks from the beach. We took our dogs there every night at sunset. Beautiful! Owner was very responsive to our queries and very determined to make sure we had what we needed. We had a lovely fire in the fire pit one night. Although we were in a residential area, the adjacent woods made the yard feel quite private.
The house's common areas are well suited for group togetherness and the kitchen is well stocked. The highlight was walking to the clean, nearly empty beach not just to swim but also just to see sunset.
Host was wonderful, messaged her several times and she always messaged back quickly, house was clean, beds were comfy, tv in every room was helpful, quick walk to beach, GIANT bathtub. Fine for small kids, but not really baby friendly. Also their is a lot of local art which is really cool, but be aware that includes quite a bit of nude art as well. We didn't care, but it may bother some.
Quiet house in the woods minutes from Indiana Sand Dunes National Park
My husband, dog and I stayed here during our trip to the Indiana Sand Dunes National Park. I went for the dunes but this house wound up being the highlight of the trip. It was cozy, quiet while being modern and quirky and interesting. We loved looking at the modern artwork and decor. I legitimately got the best sleep in years here. The host was easy to communicate with. The neighbors in this small neighborhood minutes from the lakeshore/beach were super friendly. The kitchen was decently stocked with the tools you need to cook most meals. We walked to the beach which was maybe 2 blocks away to watch the sunset. The main portion of the national park was a 5 minute drive away.
