We felt like we started our “beach vacation in the mountains” the minute we drove up and were welcomed by a kind valet in a tropical shirt. The double queen room we had was huge and well laid out. I loved the small breakfast table for two (instead of the usual desk pushed against the wall), the huge shower with 3 shower heads, a separate bathtub, oversized bath towels, and two Adirondack chairs on the balcony. The restaurant food was great for our dinner as well as breakfast. Everything was immaculate! It’s close to lots of fun places and across the street from Anakeesta.

Oh my goodness gracious, first off you are ON AN ISLAND!! Yes, that's right it's an Island Resort Hotel n downtown Gatlinburg. There is a sidewalk that follows the perimeter of the island and allows you access to the river for fishing or sightseeing. Look out for bears, you will see bears. This was the nicest hotel I've stayed at in the area, I just loved it. If you have kids you can stay all day at the resort and order food to your chair as you are pool-side. Definitely coming back again. 11/10
