I'm gonna keep this very simple. This is worth only 2 stars due to: we never received check-in instructions, there were bugs all over the place, and no hot water. Improving the above deficiencies should be simple process.Positive side: communication/amenities
My husband and I stayed here for his 60th bday. We enjoyed our two night stay. It a pretty place and the hot springs/tubs were an added benefit. Be careful though and test the temperature of the water before rushing in, as one of the pools was scalding hot. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again.
Good location, but:
1. The body wash was completely empty when I checked in.
2. Also 20 mins before checkout time the digital key/fob suddenly stopped working while I was moving stuff to my car, so I had to drive to the lobby to re activate it- and even after that it gave me a hard time
3. The dumpster was near my room entrance, and therefore unpleasant smell every time I went in and out
The property is nice and well kept however it is no close to Lake Tahoe or in the mountains. We were just a little surprised of the location. The rooms were small but well kept.
The property is beautiful, the mountains, the hot springs, it was all so scenic and gorgeous. The room was nice but not as clean as we would have liked, mostly the bathroom. The view from the room was breathtaking! Overall, we enjoyed this quiet, serene stay for a relaxing weekend!
One of the bath towels was torn, the bathroom vanity light didn't work and the carpet was stained by the coffee pot area. Most importantly the Hot Spring Pools were closed for maintenance Oct. 2-16. We should have been notified when we booked this room. The only reason we booked this room was for the Hot Springs.
The facility was Awesome, but the hot springs attendant was quite rude, we planned on going to the hot springs for the last session from 930 to 10, based on by what we were told at checkin for the springs rules, we were there at 9:31 and attendant tefused us entry. We will definitely have to stay another weekend.
This resort has a view of the Carson Valley. This is such beautiful country. We enjoyed everything about our stay. The hot spring soak at the end of a long day, the Mountains rising on one side of us and the Carson Valley on the other, the small town of Genoa all were great fun.
This was our second trip to this resort, we will be back!
So very peaceful!
I stayed here with my girlfriend and we were both very impressed with our overall experience. The property was clean and had many amenities that made us feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to take a trip to yosemite!
We were very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful mountain views. Watching sunsets and stargazing directly from the porch or the hot tub was very enjoyable. The room and property was clean and staff was friendly.
What I didnât like was when I checked out they told me there was a $45.00 new spa fee. I was told at checking in that the spa was free for me up to two guests. On top of that the spa was closed down do to lightening and we didnât use it. The lady did remove the fee but was a bit argumentative. That kind of miscommunication causes concern for future business with Holiday Inn and here.
