I went for the lakes and a view and there is absolutely no single place on the entire lake that is better.
The rooms are great and old fashioned, like me, and are charming.
There is a fantastic steak place opposite which does steak cooked on a stone on your table which is a treat.
Literally thirty feet from the hotel is the docking area for the boats. It is so easy to jump on a boat and take a ride to any lakeside destination on the lake.
I went down the road and rented a boat of my own, as well, and went shooting about the lake in luxury. All rather wonderful, convenient and overall a pleasant week or so. I would reccomend this hotel with all my heart.
great location and view but check in experience was pretty adhoc. No front desk and even the person on the desk was struggling to commute. Great staff from the intent and service perspective but its just understaffed and old property without a typical hotel like reception and services in after hours
