Iâve been to Gettysburg a few times but only for a day trip. I booked this cabin and I couldnât be happier! Charming cabin with all of the essentials. The property was beautiful and very close to all of the military parks. The owners were beyond helpful the entire process. I loved the fire pit out front and with the late summer nights starting to cool off some now the fire pit was a must! The river views were awesome and the amount of wildlife that I saw every morning and afternoon was the cherry on top for me. Deer, turkeys, rabbits. This is a great spot for someone who enjoys nature and history! I will definitely be booking this cabin for my next trip to Gettysburg and hopefully for longer next time!!
Incredible place to stay, relax and enjoy the Gettysburg area. Would recommend highly for anyone looking for an enjoyable experience and a place that feels like home. The cabin is very well set up, clean and in a good location to the battlefield and town. Its our favorite go to place to stay. The owners are the best, there is you need help or have a question, like visiting with the perfect friend or family but never intrusive. Everyone who has stayed there wants to go back!
This was a cozy cabin with everything we needed to enjoy our 3 night stay. We enjoyed the solitude and knowledge that we were staying in a piece of history. Location was close to everything we wanted to see and do.
It was exactly as advertised. If you are looking for a quiet log cabin in the woods, this is for you. It has window air conditioners. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked.
This place was all they said it would be. Hosts were polite and very close if we needed anything. The house is COOL. It really helped us feel like we turned back the clock. Thank you for everything.
Cabin had everything we needed. It was a great location to start our bike rides to the battlefield and surrounding countryside. Tami and Greg were very accommodating which made our stay enjoyable.
This was actually our 2nd time staying at the cottage. We love the location- close enough to the battlefield but slightly remote so it's peaceful. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again.
As soon as we arrived we fell in love with the house. We love older cabins and it was perfect. Tami and Greg checked in on us and were so nice. Wonderful location. Loved the enclosed porches and the fireplace since it was a little chilly. We hope we have the opportunity to stay here again.
Easy check in, all the details sent prior to our arrival. This quaint little cabin just minutes from some of the battlefield sites was not only conveniently located but provided a great place to rest and relax after a long day of walking. Peaceful setting with all the amenities of home. Hosts were kind and gracious. Thank you for the stay, we would love to come back.
We loved the charming cabin, which was perfect for the four of us. The two bathrooms was a great convenience. Although our busy weekend schedule meant we didnât spend much time there, we will definitely be back. We also enjoyed meeting Tami and her granddaughter; she was a great host.
This place is tucked away in a beautiful wooded area with steps leading down to a creek, we enjoyed a fire at night, saw a ton of wild life. Inside was cozy and they had everything we needed for our stay and then some.
My friend and I were Civil War reenactors 45 years ago. We had talked about this trip for a long time. This cabin ticks all the boxes for a historical deep dive. Its almost on the battlefield and the Round Tops are easily visible from the property. At the end of a long day of following that HUGE battle, the cabin is a quiet, idyllic retreat. Everything is comfortable and well maintained. It even has an automatic backup power system! Everything in Gettysburg is 15 minutes or less away. I just can't say enough good things about the property and its owners who live but a stone's throw away. Will definitely stay again if we get to come back to Adams county.
This historic cabin is in a wooded setting with deer a creek and bird songs. The amenities all worked to make a comfortable stay. Great access to museums, antiques, hiking, and scenic drives.
The cabin was so adorable. The only thing that was a problem were the stink bugs. But other than that the place is so rustic and quaint. We enjoyed our selves.
