A very comfortable old-school motel in downtown Gilroy. Nothing fancy, but you don't choose a motel for that purpose, and it was quiet despite being on the main road. Check-in was very efficient and the gentleman let us check in early. Soap was provided but not shampoo, so bring your own. Fantastic restaurant, Longhouse, located next door - wide variety menu of down home food with hearty portions at very reasonable prices. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kings Rest. It was clean with hard floors instead of carpet. They provided extra pillows on request. Recently renovated bathroom. They didn't provide shampoo and conditioner, but we had our own. Fridge and microwave! And a great diner next door. We stayed here a single night to be closer to the Renaissance Faire in Hollister. Would stay again.
