These folk are wonderful. A family run hotel. They couldnât have been more accommodating. Jen was so kind and understanding about our safety and wellbeing during storm Eowyn m. Iâll definitely be back
A great country inn. Exactly what I was looking for. Staff is friendly and helpful. I was treated to a local Scottish folk song jam session in the bar since I landed there on their regular meeting night. Very welcoming crowd. Great fun!
Itâs a country inn, not a hotel, but itâs perfect accommodations if youâre traveling by car. Close to Stirling Castle, Wallace monument and other sites of interest.
Luckily we only stayed one night. The hotel is great if you like mold in the bathroom and beds that are much too small and saggy. It's also a great place for those who like unfriendly service and being treated like a military drill sergeant. Hospital-like meal times and a similar quality. Not even recommended for a hotel when just passing through!
Cosy room with everything we needed. Appreciated the offer of fresh milk for tea/ coffee in the room. Lovely, friendly staff and nice breakfast.
Only negative was early last order for evening meal.
the staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. live music was fabulous , my only complaint was the room was perhaps a bit tired and in need of a good dusting in places
Very poor service. Arrived at 22.30 to be told they had given our room away and we had nowhere to stay.. tried to blame us for being late however checkin time is stated as 15:00-23:30. When I showed them the email they then changed stories to the staff having missed the booking. The guy dealing with it at first promised a room in another hotel and a bottle of champagne as it was the first night or our honeymoon and their fault. The lady took over and got us a room in a cheaper hotel but no apology or champagne??
On the bright side we loved the hotel we ended up staying in. The winnock hotel across the road from the drymen inn.. highly recommend staying at the Winnock hotel!
