My partner and I stayed at Grand Blue Fafa Resort & Spa for our first Valentineâs Day together, and unfortunately it was very disappointing.
When we arrived, the main parking lot was full (we used the secondary lot), and the reception lines were extremely long â about 30â40 minutes. While waiting, we heard the guest in front of us complain about being given the wrong room.
After checking in, our room was not decorated for Valentineâs Day as requested and confirmed, and it wasnât the junior suite we paid for â it was labeled an âapartment.â We went back to reception and were moved, but the second room was also not decorated. Since we had already been given the wrong room once, we werenât even sure if this one was correct. My partner didnât want to use the bathroom at first in case we were told again it wasnât our assigned room. The layout looked very different from the online photos, and we were told the Expedia pictures were from seven years ago.
By the time this was resolved, it was nearly 8 PM. We hadnât eaten, and the spa was closing within an hour, so we had very little time to enjoy what we booked. They offered a drink and late checkout, but that didnât make up for the lost time since amenities open later and we still had to pack.
Overall, it felt very unorganized and disappointing for such a special occasion.
