The room was spotless, and our stay was well beyond our expectations. We stayed in the Elvis room and yes, Elvis did stay at the hotel. The classic old hotel will be celebrating her 100th birthday next year. Built with 18" thick walls, it has helped her age well. The Breakfast served was fantastic and well worth the time spent enjoying the wonderful company of Maggie the manager and the owners as were there decorating each room to perfection. It was a wonderful experience stumbling on to this historic gem in Gonzales.

Easy and friendly check-in. Local recommendations were given. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Walkable to many activities in Gonzales. Parking onsite. Outdoor areas for relaxing. Shops and restaurants near by. Older hotel, so some noise is to be expected, but nothing a noise maker app couldn’t remedy. Room temperature stayed comfortable.

Maggie was fantastic - the vibe in this hotel is more intimate, similar to an old fashioned bed and breakfast - but with modern amenties like streaming and wifi. The beds were super comfy, the living room was nicely furnished and Maggie gave great recommendations for the area.

We came for a funeral and Maggie and Sara were very kind, caring and accommodating. All of this before we entered the room. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the Bonnie and Clyde room and it was so cool. Would stay here again.
