Goodwick is close by and has several shops, pubs, an excellent restaurant (Farmhouse Kitchen) and the Fishguard Bay Hotel, highly recommended for traditional Sunday lunches – a tribute to a more gracious era which overlooks the fabulous harbour from where there are daily ferry services to Ireland

Seals breed hereabouts & porpoises & pods of dolphins are occasionally seen offshore. There are more than a dozen sandy beaches, coves & harbours between St Davids and Newport.
