From the friendly check in with Mario to the check out everything was top class .The private bar is a really special touch and Dan was a great bar tender. The roof top is very nice to relax on with a glass of wine and the fire pit lit. Rooms are comfortable and spotless. There is a galley on each floor where they have coffee water and soda free all day plus fresh croissants in the morning .Highly recommend this hotel

One of my top 5 most enjoyable stays at a hotel. Mario connected us with Steve from Founders Oysters for an amazing charter experience. Mario was so knowledgeable and took ownership of his job like it was his business. John was so great too - he kept us laughing as we changed our check out multiple times he was able to accommodate our work schedule with ease.

The hotel was lovely but a few things were amiss during our stay: (1) The Moke was not working despite the ads saying we would have access to it; the bikes, touted as "first-come-first-serve", were actually reserved for another party so not available for our use on our first day there; and the lounge that is supposed to be open was off limits due to a conference. Given the promises about all these things and the price, we should certainly have been informed prior to our stay and/or compensated.

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Menhaden for my birthday, and it was truly an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff incredible. The entire property was spotless — especially our room, which was beautifully maintained and so comfortable. I had one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time. The location is perfect too, just a short walk to everything in town. I couldn’t recommend The Menhaden more. 10/10 experience. Thank you for making my birthday so special!

Charming hotel with the very BEST service!

Our stay was AMAZING!! The Front Desk staff could not have been more helpful and friendly - they acted like their #1 priority was making sure we had everything we needed. There was a wonderful bar/community area where we could play table games, play vinyl records that were provided, have a drink - so comfortable and fun! It was also within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and not far from the Ferry to Shelter Island. We highly recommend this hotel!!
